We would like to say a huge thank you to The Openwork Foundation and Owl Financial for their support and for awarding us an amazing £15,000 grant. ⭐️

This funding will make a real difference to the children, young people and families we support, helping us to continue providing opportunities, services and experiences that enable individuals with Down syndrome to thrive and reach their full potential.💙💛

We are also very grateful to Helena, mum to Amira, whose nomination helped make this funding possible. Thank you for taking the time to put us forward and for championing our work.

This week (8th–14th June) marks Carers Week, a national campaign recognising the contribution made by unpaid carers across the UK.

This year’s theme is ‘Building Carer Friendly Communities’, which feels particularly relevant to Stepping Stones DS. At the heart of our charity is a family of families, a community where parents, carers, siblings, grandparents, and extended family members support not only their own loved ones, but one another too.

Every day, we see families sharing experiences, advice, encouragement, friendship, and understanding. Those connections help create a community where people feel supported, valued, and less alone.

This Carers Week, we’d like to say thank you to all of the parents, carers, siblings, grandparents, and extended family members who care for, support, and champion our children and young people

On Sunday 31st May, 6 Stepping Stones DS families took part in the Bracknell Together Walk at South Hill Park.

A total of 18 people joined us for a walk in the warm sunshine, enjoying time together supporting our charity.

It's Volunteers' Week, and we'd like to say a huge thank you to all of our amazing volunteers. 💛💫

Your support makes a huge difference to our charity and we're grateful for every hour you give. Our volunteers give their time to help at events, run donation stations and support fundraising activities.
