Norman and Elma have settled into foster beautifully and are using their litter trays purrfectly :)

They were terribly stressed by two toddlers in the house sadly and were weeing and pooing everywhere.

"Norman is a very affectionate cat, he can be slightly timid with new people but once he knows you he loves to sit on your lap to sleep. He’ll often stand on his back legs and do cute paws to get your attention. He loves to sleep in a sunbeam and spends most of the day indoors. He does however sometimes catch mice or rats from the garden in the night!

Elma is very very affectionate and does not need to know you to jump straight on your lap for a cuddle. She has been known to sit on the top of the sofa and lick our hair. She wants to be close to whoever is in the house and only really goes outside when we go in to the garden.
They love Dreamies, they only have dry food. They would be most happy in a home where they will be given lots of love and affection. They’re used to us being in the house a lot so someone who works from home or is at home a lot would be the best."

This beautiful pair, 3 yrs old, must stay together with no children in their new home, now or in the future. They'd love a catio to keep them safe or a garden away from busy roads, though they are mainly indoor cats by choice.

They had their vet check yesterday and all was good, neutered, chipped, vaccinated with 5 weeks free insurance.

Foster kittens they said, it'll be fun they said :)

And it was...until the poopslosions started 🤣

Jimi and Ringo were quite unwell - lethargic and not eating, the other 8 were still bouncing off the walls leaving a diarrhoeal wake of destruction behind them.
Faecal tests show they have giardia and coccidia, both caught from their mamas.

They're now on a course of Panacur and feeling much better, much to everyone's relief.

Thank you to fostermums Claire and Vanessa for dealing with the very smelly little darlings!

(The kittens are all reserved and off to their new homes soon).

We're a day late for National Black Cat Day but 12 yr old Billy doesn't do anything in a hurry !

Billy had been straying for a long time with various people feeding him and no owner to be found.
"He is such a chilled out boy, nothing seems to faze him and he takes it all in his stride. He is an affectionate lad with the loudest purr. He is very happy to potter around and find a sunny place to sleep, he has access to the garden at his foster home but after his time straying he would rather be inside so an indoor home would be most acceptable. It's taken him a while to accept that he is allowed on the sofa and he still just sleeps on the floor most of the time. Billy is very loveable and tends to charm everyone he meets with his gentle ways, he will melt you when you look into those gorgeous yellow eyes!"

Concerns were raised when he started to lose weight and condition and was obviously struggling. We've had him vet checked and turns out he's hyperthyroid but, since starting his meds, he looks and feels so much better. It's lovely to see him getting a shine on his coat and a spring back in his step. His foster-dad has done such a great job getting him healthy again.

He just needs his liquid Thyronorm twice a day and annual blood tests - BWCR will cover the cost of these at Fernlea vets.

Oh and a lovely retirement home as he definitely deserves some spoiling now.
He's not met any children but older ones should be ok as he's so chilled and we don't know what he's like with other cats.

Left-Eye and Moana have seen their 4 siblings move out to forever homes and wonder when their turn will come ❤️

They are devoted sisters of about 7 months and are playful, have great appetites and are super skilled at using the litter tray. Their fur is so soft, like tabby and white cashmere. Left-Eye is a master biscuit maker and loves people, Moana is a bit more timid but gets involved when warmed up. They did come from a hoarding situation and have calicivirus and herpes virus, but their symptoms are only a bit of sneezing and runny eyes when stressed.
They've recently been spayed and been on holiday for a week whilst fostermum was away and they had no flare ups with these two stressful events which is great news and bodes well for the future.
They've never been outside so need a garden away from busy roads or could be indoor/catio cats - they're very flexible!

Neutered, chipped, vaccinated with 5 weeks free insurance. BWCR would cover any calici/herpes-related issues at Fernlea vets.

Say hello to Oreo, a gorgeous girl with a big personality and lots of love to give ❤️

At just two years old, Oreo is full of playful energy and ready to find that special someone to call her own.

Oreo is quite the little chatterbox and loves to have a good conversation with her humans, especially around mealtimes or if she thinks she is not getting the attention she feels she deserves!

She’s also a big fan of snuggles and enjoys curling up for some affection.
She would appreciate a calmer environment where she can settle at her own pace so older, cat-savvy children would be ok but she couldn't cope with toddlers!

Having previously been bullied by other cats, Oreo is looking to be the only pet now and enjoy all the attention without having to share her space. She deserves to feel secure, confident and cherished this time round.
She'd also love a garden away from busy roads.

More new arrivals, two more stunners ❤️

Happy Caturday from Bippy :)

Bippy turned 11 in August and she is happily a pampered princess as the only cat in her new home. She loves to follow us around and is always sitting close by. She loves to cuddle all night and enjoys curling up on the sofa to watch TV. She's really come out of her shell and plays with her feather toy like a kitten for the old lady that she is! She's a very chirpy girl and full of love.

ADOPTED :)

The lovely Loki is looking for her new family today ❤️

3 yrs old in December, she's just a little sweetheart. She's gentle and calm, loves a fuss and isn't bothered by the sounds and smells of other cats outside her room. We think she's lived with a Ragdoll previously so another nice cat for company would be fine.
Sadly, her owner had mental health issues and basically forgot they had a cat so she would love to be someone's special girl again. She'd also love a garden away from busy roads.

We've been told she's neutered and she's now been chipped and had her first vaccination plus comes with 5 weeks free insurance.
