Thursday Language Cafe — We’re Here! The new campus is open, and BISC is excited to be there too! Language is a wonderful way to express who we are and build real connections. Every Thursday, 1:30–3:00 PM

Each week, our staff and volunteers will prepare a relaxed, practical, and friendly session to help you practise English and feel more confident using it in everyday life. The session is just the right amount of time to practise speaking and connecting with others without feeling too tired! We hope this can be a space where you can build your confidence, improve your language skills, and make real connections along the way.

🍛 Wednesday Lunch this week - Ukrainian Borscht - pork/vegan

As the weather gets a little chilly, there’s nothing quite like a steaming, soul-warming bowl of soup to brighten your day!

This is authentic Ukrainian Borscht—a traditional recipe shared with us by one of our wonderful former Ukrainian student volunteers, who taught us to make it with love. Packed with tender meat and hearty fresh vegetables, it’s wholesome, nutrient-rich, and feels like a warm hug for your stomach.

When autumn calls, come on over and warm yourself up with a delicious bowl! You’re always welcome here. ☕ Warm smiles, great conversations, and good food are waiting for you!

International Bible Study Lunch on Tuesday is continuing!
We’re excited to introduce a brand-new project at BISC this academic year!🌱Every Tuesday, 12–2 PM

This Bible Study Lunch is especially for international Christian students who use English as a second language, as well as those who are curious about faith and would like to explore the Bible in English. We also offer extra support for reading the Bible in English as a second language.

Each week, we’ll explore different Bible themes together, with plenty of space to think, ask questions, and share your thoughts. No question is wrong. Come as you are and enjoy a relaxed, warm, and welcoming space to explore the Bible together. ❤️

What a fantastic launch for our very first Thursday Language Cafe! 🎉

​It was so wonderful to see everyone enjoying a safe, pressure-free space to practice English. We had plenty of time to get to know one another over tea, coffee, and delicious homemade cakes!

​A huge thank you to Caroline for giving us a short yet super practical session to kick things off. Going forward, our amazing volunteers will be right there alongside each student to chat, practice, and build your English-speaking confidence together!

​BISC Language Cafe is all about creating a warm, relaxed environment where you can open up, grow your confidence, and build lifelong friendships.
​We can’t wait to see returning faces and welcome anyone new who’d love to give it a try next time!

Our British Indian volunteer introduced this dish to us, and she'll help us cook this for you. A hot meal and handmade dessert are the best for chilly weather, and you don't even have to cook yourself!

We’re serving up two delicious versions:
Tender chicken
Fresh vegetable
