Our members and friends donated and filled 36 Christmas Boxes for T4U to be distributed to vulnerable children families and hospitals schools nurseries - and orphanages around the Ukraine , Moldova Georgia,Bosnia and Romania
I would like to express many thanks to friends neighbours and our WI members who donated ,knitted and gave their time to make this effort so rewarding - so very proud of you all ❤️❤️👍

Our members enjoyed an evening with the Morris Dancers from Derby named chip off the Old

We had a lovely evening celebrating - 111 - W.I -day (16thSeptember) members dressed in purple ( surrogates colours) and were treated to cakes decorated following the purple theme made by our treasurer Liz Neale
Our speaker Ben gave a wonderful talk on The Collie Border trust

Turnditch @ Windley members would like to thank everyone who supported our - Breast Cancer Afternoon Appeal - we served tea and cakes to over 80 people - and we Raised over £600 towards this great appeal - serving tea and cakes - a well supported bring and buy stall a guess the weight of the cake and competitions
Thank you so very much for all our members and friends and family - who worked so hard - baking - serving - mashing many pots of tea and setting up and clearing away - bring and buy ladies - competition ladies -well done you have earned a well earned rest

Turnditch & Windley WI has a great fun - Quiz & fizz ( plus the solar eclipse ) After a short business meeting - we were treated to a Derbyshire and music Quiz - kindly organised by our secretary - Diane Reece - followed by fizz and nibbles - another great evening enjoyed by all

Thank you so very much for inviting us to your afternoon tea and social afternoon
Sir Stephen Moss - gave a very entertaining talk on - a life time in the NHS -‘was it good for my
health ‘- we enjoyed his life time with many heart rendering occasions but spoke of lots of happy and comical times
We were treated to various cakes and scones with tea
Thank you to the great team of ladies - for organising this special event

Our members enjoyed Afternoon tea at Makeney Hall

Our last meeting was a huge success -we welcomed Sarah Smith Who told us about the Derbyshire council funded Live Stronger for longer falls prevention service delivered by Age UK
She showed us lots of exercises to improve our mobility - strength and balance -all members joining her with many different exercises
