Another gift to the village by the Duffield Carnival crew

This is all FREE for the residents of Duffield. Donations of course are welcome to Duffield Community Association.

🌿🌿🌿FOOTPATH IMPROVEMENT GROUP (FIG)🌿🌿🌿
Meeting on Wednesday 17th June, 2pm, near the Cemetery lay-by.
This week we will start to clear the nettles and brambles along the Lower Chevin footpaths, in preparation for the DUFFIELD 5

Please join us.
Come armed with secateurs and gardening gloves!

We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of every month throughout the summer tackling different footpaths, without disturbing wildlife.

Duffield Carnival Week is the DCA's busiest time of year. This event is organised for the village, by the village, in other words... it relies upon volunteers to make it happen.
Can you spare an hour or two to make this year's Carnival another success?

🌿🌿🌿 FOOTPATH IMPROVEMENT GROUP (FIG) 🌿🌿🌿
A small group of secateur wielding volunteers meet roughly once a month over the summer to clear public rights of way of excess vegetation.
Our first official meeting of the year will be on Wednesday 20th May, at 2pm at St Alkmund’s car park to clear footpaths in the vicinity (being mindful of nesting).

Why not join us?

The meeting on 17th June will clear vegetation at the bottom of the Chevin in preparation for the DUFFIELD 5 fun run.

We are so grateful to the family who have looked after the flags on the corner for the past 20 years!

Why are all these people standing at Chapel St corner?
To take part in the dedication of Duffield Well Dressing by Roger Robb.
We hope it will last the weekend, but as all natural things its life is transient.

Come along and see Duffield's first (that we know of) 'Well Dressing'. What does it look like???
The display is being dedicated on Thursday 6pm.
It will be (fingers crossed) on display until Monday.

Every day is a school day with this project. One step backwards, when we found the black beans used in some areas started sprouting and are having to be replaced!! Still, it is coming together.
