We presented Alison from Derbyshire Rural Chaplaincy with a cheque for £1,500 tonight. We have been fundraising for the past twelve months through our events and raffles. It was great to hear about the fantastic work they do with the local rural and farming communities. We are so pleased they will be able to put these funds to good use.

At the Spring Crafts this evening our ladies made a floral candle jar which can be used as a table centrepiece 🌺 🕯️

Tonight we had a joint celebration of our WI’s 104th birthday and Ethel our longest serving member who has been a member of LEWI for 56 years was celebrating her 90th birthday this week too 🎂🎉🥂

Thank you to everyone who took part in our annual Quiz and Chips. Here’s the winning team who just pipped the 2nd placed team by half a point! Our fantastic Fish and Chip supper was again supplied by Kedleston Fish Bar.
Final figures are not in yet but we have raised money this year for Derbyshire Rural Chaplaincy.
