Fringe Fringe 2021
Welcome to the Belper Fringe 2021, undeterred by the continuing Covid-19 restrictions online concerts began in March with a vibrant set from local music legends The Ferretts. We have music events on a weekly basis until June.. with more to follow. If you wish to perform please shout up. We have been joined by Belper poet laureate Carol Brewer, who has organised a poet-tree festi
val commencing 17th April in St Peter's Churchyard for a month and then into the town centre as a trail from the Market Place to the Beaurepaire Gardens towards the end of June. Carol has been working with Jasper Ward and Andy Mayers in producing a book about the famous Belper Moo which will be published soon. Woollen woods begins on May 15th. This year you will find all the hand made tree-dwellers around the town centre. Belper Recorder Group will be performing an online play along on 22nd May. Once restrictions are lifted we plan to have a few more events, initially outdoors. Hopefully, by September we will be able have indoor events including a 2 day short play competition at the Lion Hotel. And of course, Belper Artisans to be arranged. You can keep in touch with all our events on our events page and our regular facebook posts. Thank you to the committee and supporters who are working hard to ensure belper fringe happens. For your information, these are the people who do the organising...
