The group also took time to explore their leadership styles, what a transformational leader looks like and how this can impact their communities with improved cultural competence!

Take a moment to listen to Dr Ciara Fitzpatrick from UU who wrote a little but very powerful ‘thought for the day’ on youth workers, which played on Radio Ulster on Sunday 18th May. 🎙️

“It is clear that youth workers are well placed to
holistically respond to the needs of young people who have lost hope and who have given up on the future.

Unfortunately youth clubs are falling victim to the ongoing fiscal squeeze which is a short sighted tragedy as ultimately, less youth workers means more isolated young people with broken dreams and rising needs.”
