We are pleased to be involved in the Palliative Care Chair Initiative, where, following a fund raiser in the Blue Haven in memory of Michael Oliver McIntyre, a number of high quality, super comfortable recliner chairs were purchased and place in resources throughout South West Donegal. Given that the HSE supply appropriate equipment, including specialist beds and mattresses for someone receiving palliative or end of life care, this bed is intended to provide some comfort for the person(s) undertaking the bedside vigil. These chairs would be accessed through the Public Health Nurse and/or Specialist Palliative Care Nurse. Pictured is Carol Ann McIntyre, with one of the chairs

It is with deep sadness that we inform of the death of our resident and dear friend Betty Nulty who passed peacefully this morning in Letterkenny Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Betty was a beautiful, strong, independent woman who will be sorely missed.
She will return to St. Shanaghan House on Wednesday 24th at 3pm to be waked to 7pm, before going home to Kildare on Thursday
May her kind soul rest in peace

We are delighted to be invited through the ICSH (Irish Council for Social Housing) to be involved in the cross border Peace Plus – Common Ground Project. Teague attended the recent launch in Belfast This is a 3 year £3M Social Housing focussed project.
This project has great potential for learning particularly around Community Development, Carbon Literacy, accessing training and funding streams as well as cultural exchange.
