Today marks the start of Volunteers' Week and we want to shed a light on our incredible TinyLife volunteers, the dedicated people who give their time, energy and compassion to support our TinyLife families.

From helping at events and fundraising in their local communities, to offering practical support behind the scenes, our volunteers play a vital role in making sure premature and vulnerable babies and their families never feel alone.

Their kindness, commitment and generosity help us continue providing essential support to families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Whether they volunteer a few hours a month or support us year-round, every contribution makes a real difference.

This week, we’ll be celebrating the amazing individuals who make TinyLife stronger, sharing their stories and saying a huge THANK YOU for everything they do.

A huge thank you to the team at Kilnbridge who took on the Belfast City Marathon as a relay team and raised an incredible £2,020.00 for TinyLife!

We are so grateful for their amazing effort, dedication and support. Every mile completed and every pound raised will help TinyLife continue to support premature and vulnerable babies and their families across Northern Ireland.

𝗠𝗬𝗧𝗛 𝗢𝗥 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧?
The best way to support development is to focus on the next milestone.

❌ 𝗠𝗬𝗧𝗛

It’s completely natural to think about the next big milestone — first steps, first words, feeding independently or sharing with others — but focusing only on the “headline” milestone can make us miss the important building blocks already developing.

Before walking, a child may be learning balance, cruising, weight shifting and confidence in movement. Before words, they may be learning listening, turn-taking, shared attention, understanding familiar words and using gestures.

When we notice and celebrate these in-between skills, progress often feels more visible and less stressful.

Supporting the foundations usually helps the bigger milestones come more naturally over time.

Every child is different, and children born prematurely may reach milestones in their own time.

𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐲'𝐬 𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐢𝐧𝐲𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞!

Stacey took on our 100 Miles in May challenge in honour of her daughter Lottie 💜

Lottie was born last year at just 30 weeks, weighing only 3lbs. During such a difficult and uncertain time, TinyLife provided vital support to Stacey and her family through our breast pump loan service while Lottie was in hospital, and later through our TinyStart programme after she came home.

With the support of a dedicated TinyStart worker and tailored developmental sessions, TinyLife became a real lifeline for their family and many others around them.

Now, as Lottie celebrates her first birthday this month, Stacey used this challenge as a meaningful way to give back and help support other families facing the challenges of premature birth.

As the challenge draws to a close, we are so grateful to Stacey for sharing her story and supporting TinyLife every step of the way 💜

We are so incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the Irwin M&E Golf Day such a tremendous success.

Thanks to the outstanding generosity of Irwin M&E, the event sponsors, players and supporters, an incredible £38,142.50 was raised for TinyLife.

This support means so much to us and will make a real difference to premature and vulnerable babies and their families across Northern Ireland, helping us continue to provide vital care and support during some of the most challenging times in their lives.

To everyone who contributed, donated, attended and supported the day in any way, thank you.

We cannot thank Irwin M&E enough for the incredible Golf Day they held in aid of TinyLife💜

They raised a total of £38,142.50 towards the vital work we carry out for babies born too soon, too small or too sick in Northern Ireland.

We are so grateful for their support and to everyone who took part and contributed👏💛

We are incredibly proud to present an amazing £38,142.50 to TinyLife following our Golf Day.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the event and donated, Rockmount Golf Club for their fantastic hospitality, and every golfer who took part and helped make the day such a success.

This is the largest single fundraising event in Irwin history and we are delighted that it is going to such a worthy cause.
