We had the pleasure of collecting 50 comfort cushions from the wonderful ladies at the Pins@Needles Sewing Group based in Portadown.

These beautiful handmade cushions are specially designed to support those who have undergone breast cancer surgery, providing comfort and gentle support during their healing journey.

A huge thank you to all the amazing ladies for your time, kindness and generosity. Your support means so much to those we care for. 🩷

𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘁𝘆 𝗻 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗸’𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀: Meet Aoife

“I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in September 2024. Due to lymph node involvement I was sent for numerous MRI’s, followed by a liver biopsy and in October 2024 it was confirmed I had Metastatic Breast Cancer (ER/PR positive, HER2 positive).

It felt like my whole world had been turned upside down. It was difficult finding out I had Breast Cancer but to process that it was incurable felt absolutely devastating.

I was a first time mum and our daughter had only turned one year old in August, which only heightened how terrified I felt for my family’s future.

I started chemotherapy in October 2024, alongside Phesgo targeted therapy. My sixth and final chemotherapy was in February 2025, followed by the best news we could have hoped for – there was no evidence of active disease.

During those winter months on chemo, my dedicated nurse specialist Lucy first referred me to Pretty n Pink, where I received financial support when we most needed it.

It was only when I finished chemotherapy that the reality of what had happened properly hit me, and it was the time I most needed support.

I have availed of local counselling services, attended community events such as pumpkin carving and wreath making, enjoyed wonderful holistic therapies in Canal Court Spa and attended Breathwork and Meditation events.

All of these services have picked me up and supported me through many of the difficult milestones of the past two years.

Today I continue to receive targeted therapy and hormone therapy, and my scans have remained clear. I am now approaching the two year anniversary since my diagnosis, and the services Pretty n Pink have provided to date have been invaluable.

If someone has been newly diagnosed, I would strongly encourage them to contact Pretty n Pink. It can feel like a very lonely place when you’ve received a diagnosis, but it is very comforting to know there is a community there to support you when you really need it.”

Fundraising Appreciation 🩷

A big thank you to our three fundraisers for supporting Pretty ‘n Pink and helping us raise vital funds.

☕ Eurospar Kilkeel – raised an amazing £444.79 during their community coffee morning.

💃 The Zumba Rooms – raised an amazing £587.90 during their Galentine’s Zumba event.

🎶 Rock Choir – raised an amazing £412.84 during their pink summer term sing-through.

We are incredibly proud and excited to announce that The Incredible Brunch is partnering with Pretty ’n’ Pink Breast Cancer Charity! 💕🎉

This is a cause that touches so many of us.

Breast cancer accounts for 1 in 3 of all female cancer diagnoses in Northern Ireland, and breast cancer impacts 1 in 8 women right here at home.

It’s our mums, our sisters, our colleagues and our friends. 💗

Pretty ’n’ Pink has been supporting breast cancer patients and their families across Northern Ireland since 2006, providing vital financial, practical and emotional support to people during one of the most difficult times in their lives.

And importantly, all money raised by Pretty ’n’ Pink stays right here in Northern Ireland, directly supporting local breast cancer patients and their families. 🎀

As a brand whose events bring together thousands of women every year, this partnership means a huge amount to us. Our brunches have always been about bringing women together, having a laugh, making memories and celebrating life — and now we have the opportunity to bring that incredible community together for an even greater purpose.

Over the coming months, we’ll be working alongside the amazing team at Pretty ’n’ Pink to raise funds, raise awareness and encourage everyone to be breast aware.

We have lots planned, and we genuinely cannot wait to get started. 💕

Know your normal. Know your breasts.

Taking a few minutes to regularly check your breasts can help you become familiar with how they normally look and feel.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸:
👀 Look – check in the mirror for any changes in size, shape or skin.
🤲 Feel – use the pads of your fingers to gently feel your breasts and armpits for any new lumps or thickening.
💗 Know – be aware of any changes that are unusual for you.

𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿:
• A new lump or thickening
• Changes in size or shape
• Dimpling or puckering of the skin
• Ni**le changes or unusual discharge
• Swelling or changes around the breast or armpit
• Any new or persistent pain

If you notice anything new or unusual for you, speak to your GP.

From Reiki and healing sessions to coaching, cacao ceremonies, workshops and retreats, Gráinne offers a range of therapies designed to support the emotional, mental and physical wellbeing of our patients throughout their breast cancer journey.

A huge thank you to the incredible team at Connected Health for raising an amazing £1,001.48 for Pretty n Pink through the 2026 Phoenix Energy Belfast City Women’s 10K! 💗

Six fantastic runners took on the challenge, supported by their colleagues, friends and family, to raise this wonderful amount.

As a female-led team, breast cancer is a cause particularly close to the hearts of the Connected Health team, and we’re so grateful they chose to support Pretty n Pink and help us continue our vital work supporting breast cancer patients and their families across Northern Ireland.

💗 Sarah’s Story 🩷

In this video, Sarah shares her experience of being diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer and the physical and emotional impact it had on her throughout treatment and recovery.

Every breast cancer journey is different, but no one should have to face it alone. We’re incredibly grateful to Sarah for sharing her story so openly and honestly, helping to raise awareness of the realities of a breast cancer diagnosis and the importance of having the right support.

At Pretty n Pink, we’re proud to have supported Sarah throughout her journey, and we hope her story offers comfort, hope and reassurance to anyone currently affected by breast cancer.

An incredible £108,750 raised. 💗

To Marianne and everyone involved, thank you simply doesn’t feel like enough. The support we’ve seen from the community throughout this fundraiser has been truly incredible, and this amazing donation will help us continue providing financial support, counselling, complementary therapies and practical help to individuals and families affected by breast cancer across Northern Ireland.

Marianne has been a wonderful advocate for Pretty n Pink over the years. Her dedication to raising awareness, bringing communities together and supporting those affected by breast cancer has made a lasting difference, and we are so grateful for everything she has done.
