What’s one thing you wish you’d known when you were building your LinkedIn profile?

According to our partners at Habibi, one answer came through clearly during their workshop with our Web Dev & AI students: You don’t need to be an expert to start showing your work.

Thank you, LinkedIn Habibi, for helping our students build more confidence, understand professional networking better, and see that their projects belong in professional spaces.

LinkedIn has also previously supported CodeBrave’s work, helping young people in Lebanon access Computer Science & AI education.

Same tools. Same AI. Completely different results.

We asked Joud and Hoda to build websites using AI in their first week of learning with us. Then again at the end of the programme.

What changed? They did. Their approach, prompts, thinking — all shaped by our updated Computer Science & AI curriculum.

Swipe to see the difference.

“I want people outside Lebanon to understand that behind every headline, there are real people trying to live their lives, trying not to lose hope.”

This is what Hiba, 16, a displaced CodeBrave Web Dev & AI student from South Lebanon, wanted to share. “There’s always a chance to grow and create a better future, even though life feels hard right now.”

When the war escalated, her family had to leave within moments. Routines disappeared. Finding somewhere safe became the only priority. “The hardest part was not knowing when we would return.”

But Hiba kept learning. She kept working on her final CodeBrave project, a study planner, sharing updates with friends and iterating on their feedback until it was done. “Class helped me get my mind off of the war and focus on something productive.”

Ali had five minutes to pack. He left his laptop behind.

A week later, his father drove back through the conflict to retrieve it.

That says everything about what learning means to this family.

Ali is a CodeBrave student currently living in a shelter. Before the war, he was attending web development sessions twice a week. A couple of days ago, he was accepted into the New York Academy of Science, where he’s now working with peers to solve real-world problems using technology.

Ali didn’t stop learning.

“Being at CodeBrave feels like holding onto a powerful sense of hope. It’s a community where people truly believe in me.”

“The hardest thing was choosing to stay home. We had nowhere to go and didn’t want to relive what we experienced in 2024.”

Amal is 17, a CodeBrave student from South Lebanon. Sounds of shelling, closed schools, and sleepless nights have become her everyday reality again.

At first, even opening her laptop felt difficult. But with encouragement from her teacher and peers, Amal slowly returned to her online web development classes. Finishing her last project became more than just progress. It reminded her that she could keep going.

This is Amal’s graduation year. She holds onto one image: wearing her graduation cap. “That moment alone would make everything worth it. Learning is not a luxury. Returning to learning means reclaiming my future.”

We must keep investing in their futures.

Lebanon is under bombardment again. Schools are closing, more than 112,000 people are displaced, and thousands of children are frightened about what tomorrow will bring.

We’ve launched an Emergency Education Campaign to help children and youth keep learning during this crisis.

At 15, Najib is building games from scratch. Four months ago, he didn’t even know what Computer Science was.

Tech hadn’t been part of Najib’s classroom experience or life, and school hadn’t always held his attention.

He walked into CodeBrave’s Computer Science and AI class with little tech exposure, then discovered a different way to learn. He built “Speed Dog”, a game where a dog is supposed to catch all the bones randomly popping on the screen, and found new motivation to stay in school.

“This class surprised me. I didn’t know we could build so many cool things.”

Today, Najib is creating, problem-solving, and connecting tech to his dream of becoming an architect.

The Computer Science and AI Programme at Najib’s School was implemented by and CodeBrave, under the Educare Project funded by Italy through .
