The Life In Abundance UK Board and Executive Director, Dr J***y Hilaire, recently gathered in London for our 2026 Board Away Day, a valuable time to reflect, plan and strengthen our priorities for the season ahead.

It was a meaningful opportunity to consider the next phase of LIA-UK’s work and our contribution to the wider Life In Abundance mission.

A special thank you to Carl Knightly for facilitating the day and guiding us through productive discussions.

We are grateful for the commitment of our Board and leadership as we continue working together to support lasting transformation across Africa and the Caribbean.

Thank you Trinity Church Gosforth for your warm welcome to Dr Florence Muindi, Founder and President of Life In Abundance International, and Conrad Nevers, Chair of the Life in Abundance UK Board of Trustees, during their recent visit.
It was also a privilege for Dr J***y Hilaire Jo Hi, Executive Director of Life In Abundance UK, to welcome them to the church and introduce the ministry to the congregation.
Dr Florence shared about the impact of Life in Abundance and how God is working through local churches to transform lives and communities.

Life in Abundance is working with 25 youth leaders in Cairo to be Wholistic Disciple Makers in the Ain Shams community. The purpose of this project is to build a youth club that will restore the dignity and health of young Sudanese refugees aged 5 – 17 years old through sport, games and football and to give them lessons on healthy food choices, personal hygiene, and mental health awareness.

LIA president and founder, Dr Florence Muindi, visited the UK last week. Together with LIA-UK director, Steve Machell, she met with church and prayer partners and we give thanks for a very fruitful time with her. Here she is with the LIA-UK team in their office in Bath.

Whilst in Kenya for the annual Global Missions Conference, LIA-UK director, Steve Machell, travelled up to the Rift Valley town of Turi to meet with some community and church leadership. LIA-UK is currently training the community to grow a sustainable, wholistic development model.

In Ecclesiastes 4:9 -12 it says, 'Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.'
This week, on 19 August, is World Humanitarian Day where we come together to honour humanitarians around the world who strive to meet ever-growing global needs. The theme for 2023 is The Human Race, with the slogan, 'It takes a village.'
God created us for community. How could you help yours?
