Did you know?

Since 1 April 2026, Bath BID’s Day Marshals have attended 145 shoplifting incidents across Bath city centre.

Thanks to their fast response and close partnership with local businesses and B&NES CCTV, they’ve helped recover and return an estimated £11,998.37 worth of stolen stock.

We are pleased to announce that Bath BID City Marshals will be providing extended patrols across Friday and Saturday evenings from 5:00pm to 10:30pm.
Following a successful partnership last year, Avon and Somerset Police and the Office of the Avon & Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner have awarded Bath BID funding through the Knife Crime Concentration Fund to deliver high-visibility patrols across Bath city centre.

While Bath continues to experience relatively low levels of knife crime, this funding supports a proactive approach to keeping the city safe. The patrols will help deter anti-social behaviour, support police efforts to prevent serious violence, and provide reassurance to businesses, residents, and visitors.

This additional funding will ensure full City Marshal coverage during the busiest weekend periods, eliminating any gaps in service while providing support for businesses across the city centre.

The patrols will start this Friday, and businesses can contact the City Marshals via Channel 1 on their Citylink radios. 🗣️
