🌿 June is full of reasons to visit the Climate Hub! 🌿

This month we're delighted to be hosting two inspiring collaborations and we'd love you to come and get involved!

🌍 Help Shape BANES'Climate & Nature Strategy
In partnership with Bath & North East Somerset Council, we're hosting an interactive display exploring the future of climate and nature action across our region. Drop into the Hub, explore the materials, share your thoughts, and help shape the next chapter of the Climate & Nature Strategy. It's also a great opportunity to meet some of the teams involved and join the conversation.

πŸ‘˜ The Coat of Hopes arrives this Friday!
We're incredibly proud to welcome the remarkable Coat of Hopes to the Climate Hub on Friday 19th June from 7pm!

The Coat of Hopes is a patchwork coat carrying hundreds of stitched hopes, dreams and messages for a fairer future, travelling the UK on pilgrimage for as long as the climate and ecological emergency exists.

Join us to welcome the walkers as they arrive in Bath, or visit the Coat during its stay at the Hub from 22nd June – 1st July following its journey to Stonehenge for the Summer Solstice.

Find out more about the Coat of Hopes:

Whether you're interested in climate action, nature recovery, community connection, or simply curious to learn more, we'd love to see you at the Hub this month. πŸ’š

🌟 It's Volunteers' Week! 🌟

This week, we're celebrating the incredible volunteers who make Climate Hub possible πŸ’š

From welcoming visitors and supporting events, to sharing skills, offering advice, watering plants, helping with communications, fundraising, administration, and so much more β€” our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.

Since opening our doors, hundreds of volunteer hours have helped create a welcoming space for climate action, community connection, learning, hope, and positive change. Every conversation, every cup of tea, every poster, every event, and every act of kindness helps make a difference.

A huge THANK YOU to all our wonderful volunteers β€” past, present, and future. Your time, energy, passion, creativity, and commitment inspire us every day. 🌱✨

Volunteers' Week may only come around once a year, but we celebrate and appreciate our volunteers every single day.

If you'd like to join our amazing volunteer team, we'd love to hear from you! πŸŒπŸ’š

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/767687

Following the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster last November and the widespread screening of the film made from that briefing up and down the country, the next step is to call on the government to hold a UK-wide national public briefing to raise the public's awareness of the crises we face and the government's plans and responses to them.

Please support this parallel petition....and remember to come and join our screening of the People's Emergency Briefing Thursday 4th June!:

πŸͺ‘ Join us in United Stitches at Climate Hub Bath! πŸ‘˜βœ¨

This Thursday 28th May, we’re hosting a relaxed drop-in gathering at the Hub, creating small stitched patches in preparation for the arrival of the beautiful Coat of Hopes πŸ’š

The Coat arrives in Bath on 19th June, journeys to Stonehenge for Solstice, then returns to Climate Hub Bath where it will be on display from 22nd June – 1st July.

Whether you sew regularly or haven’t picked up a needle in years, you’re warmly welcome. Even a few stitches can become part of something collective, meaningful and hopeful 🌍🧡

β˜• Informal drop-in session
πŸͺ‘ No experience needed
πŸ’š Materials, conversation and creativity shared

And this is just the beginning β€” in June we’ll also be hosting a mending and patch-making session, celebrating repair, care and collective action.

Come weave a little hope with us ✨
