https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/767687

Following the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster last November and the widespread screening of the film made from that briefing up and down the country, the next step is to call on the government to hold a UK-wide national public briefing to raise the public's awareness of the crises we face and the government's plans and responses to them.

Please support this parallel petition....and remember to come and join our screening of the People's Emergency Briefing Thursday 4th June!:

πŸͺ‘ Join us in United Stitches at Climate Hub Bath! πŸ‘˜βœ¨

This Thursday 28th May, we’re hosting a relaxed drop-in gathering at the Hub, creating small stitched patches in preparation for the arrival of the beautiful Coat of Hopes πŸ’š

The Coat arrives in Bath on 19th June, journeys to Stonehenge for Solstice, then returns to Climate Hub Bath where it will be on display from 22nd June – 1st July.

Whether you sew regularly or haven’t picked up a needle in years, you’re warmly welcome. Even a few stitches can become part of something collective, meaningful and hopeful 🌍🧡

β˜• Informal drop-in session
πŸͺ‘ No experience needed
πŸ’š Materials, conversation and creativity shared

And this is just the beginning β€” in June we’ll also be hosting a mending and patch-making session, celebrating repair, care and collective action.

Come weave a little hope with us ✨

🌍 Something extraordinary is happening across the UK 🌍

Communities, scientists, educators, parents, campaigners, councils and local groups are coming together for the People’s Emergency Briefing β€” a powerful new national film and conversation about the climate and nature crisis, and what it means for all of us.

Now it’s coming to Bath πŸ’š

Join us at Roper Theatre at Hayesfield School in Bath on Thursday 4th June for a special community screening hosted by Climate Hub alongside local partners and fellow community members ✨

This compelling 50-minute briefing brings together leading UK experts to unpack the realities of:

⚠️ Extreme weather
🌾 Food security
🩺 Health
πŸ’· The cost of living
🌿 Nature loss
🀝 Community resilience

But this isn’t just about understanding the crisis β€” it’s about creating space for honest conversation, connection and collective action at a local level πŸ’¬πŸŒ±

Screenings are now taking place nationwide as part of a growing groundswell of communities wanting to better understand the challenges ahead and explore meaningful responses together 🌊πŸ”₯

Whether you’re deeply engaged already or just climate-curious, you are warmly welcome πŸ’›

🧑 We’re loving seeing the growing tree of hope at the Climate Hub this week 🌍✨

As part of our collaboration with our friends Bath Welcomes Refugees and the inspiring campaign, people have been sharing beautiful reflections, hopes, dreams and messages of solidarity around climate migration and our shared future πŸŒΏπŸ’¬

From heartfelt orange hearts to meaningful conversations (and yes… orange biscuits too 🍊πŸͺ), it’s becoming a really special space already.

The installation is running NOW until next Wednesday β€” so come on down, add your own message, meet the teams, and be part of a growing wave of hope and action πŸŒŽπŸ’›

Questions to reflect on:
✨ What gives you hope?
✨ What do you hope for?
✨ What does hope mean to you?

πŸŒπŸ“š NEW BOOK ALERT! A must-read for the next generation of changemakers πŸ’š

We’re excited to celebrate the release of Planet Protectors by climate justice activist, speaker and author Dominique Palmer () 🌱✨

Beautifully brought to life with illustrations by Komal Pahwa πŸŽ¨πŸ’«, Planet Protectors is full of inspiring stories, practical ideas, and empowering reflections for young people β€” and for anyone looking to reconnect with hope, courage and collective action in the face of the climate crisis.

At a time when eco-anxiety and overwhelm can feel so present, books like this matter deeply. They remind us that meaningful change is possible, and that every voice and action counts 🌎

Whether you’re a teacher, parent, youth worker, student, activist, or simply climate-curious β€” we highly recommend adding this one to your reading list πŸ“–πŸŒΏ

Huge congratulations to Dominique and Komal on this beautiful and important creation πŸ™ŒπŸ’š

Come by the Hub, meet our teams, learn about climate migration and hopefuly stories, and fill out one of our lovely orange hearts with your thoughts:

🧑 What gives you hope?
🧑 What do you hope for?
🧑 What does hope mean for you?

Together, the hearts will become part of a growing public display of collective hope, compassion and community action 🌍✨

And yes… there will also be delicious orange biscuits to share! πŸͺπŸŠπŸ˜‹
