Following yesterday’s announcement, Dorset and Wiltshire are set to be two of the first areas in the country to pilot a new scheme supporting domestic abuse victims through the courts.

Backed by a £5 million government funding boost, the initiative will focus on the most serious cases - helping victims meet prosecutors ahead of trials to better understand the process and ask questions.

A massive step forward in creating a more supportive and compassionate justice system for those who need it most.
