Thank you to the Winnipeg Foundation for helping keep the community warm with a generous donation of socks! 🧦❤️

At a recent donor event, the Winnipeg Foundation celebrated the spirit of giving by donating a pair of socks for every guest in attendance and shared them among four agencies serving Winnipeg’s unhoused community.

We are so grateful to be able to share in the donation with our partners to help keep the community warm as the weather gets colder. 🍂

We’re celebrating Women’s History Month this year by highlighting some of our incredible staff at The Salvation Army. These women from a variety of backgrounds and experiences all have one thing in common: a passion and drive to make a difference in their community.

Stay tuned for weekly spotlights on our social media accounts throughout October to learn more about these awesome women.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is tomorrow. At The Salvation Army we recognize the importance of giving space for, listening to and learning from Indigenous Peoples. 🧡

In August of this year, The Salvation Army partnered with Indigenous Pathways to host the annual Celebration of Culture, bringing more than 70 people together to take a step on the path of reconciliation.

The event was a time of growth, healing and learning, as stories were spoken around sharing circles, as a tipi was built, through song and dance at the Saturday afternoon pow wow and around an evening campfire.
