Immigrant Centre Manitoba Inc. - ICM Helping newcomers succeed through personalized settlement plans and community partnerships

The Immigrant Centre has been delivering quality, innovative Immigration and Settlement Services to allow immigrants to connect, integrate, and fully participate in Canadian Society for over 70 years. This includes helping people learn English, find stable employment and comfortable places to live. Last year we helped over 17,000 clients seeking immigration and settlement assistance. At our front reception we are averaging an amazing 2000 calls a month – that’s a call every 4 minutes! Along with a staff of 41, who between them speak 30 languages and have a combined 200 years of experience working at Immigrant Centre, our organization could not offer the services it does, without the expertise and commitment of our Board of Directors.

🍳🥕 **COOKING MATTERS IS COMING TO THE IMMIGRANT CENTRE!** 🥕🍳

Looking to build your cooking skills, learn more about healthy eating, and make delicious meals on a budget?

**Cooking Matters** is an 8-week cooking and nutrition program at the Immigrant Centre! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

📅 **Choose ONE session:**

🔸 **Tuesday evenings:** 5:00–7:00 PM
October 20 – December 8

🔸 **Wednesday mornings:** 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
October 21 – December 16
*No class November 11 due to Remembrance Day.*

🔸 **Saturday mornings:** 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
October 24 – December 12

📍 **Immigrant Centre kitchen**
100 Adelaide Street, downstairs

Each weekly class is **2 hours long**, and **all ingredients and cooking equipment are provided** through sponsorship funding.

👉 Please bring **2 medium-sized containers or 1 large container** each week to take your food home.

**Who can attend?**
Cooking Matters is available to **Immigrant Centre clients who are permanent residents**.

⚠️ **Registration is required**, and space is limited. Priority is given in sequential order based on the waitlist.
