Love cheer and looking for a new way to stay involved? 📣

Cheer Manitoba is recruiting judges for the upcoming season, and we’d especially love to hear from retired cheerleaders who want to remain connected to the sport!

Cheer Manitoba is currently seeking a Level 1 Certified Cheerleading Coach for a paid position with Sport en Français.

The coach must be able to lead cheerleading classes in French. The program includes 10 one-hour classes, held on either Mondays or Tuesdays, beginning the week of October 12.

National Coaches Week is coming up September 14–20, and Sport Manitoba Coaching is celebrating by offering FREE NCCP education for Manitoba coaches!

Four online NCCP modules will be available FREE through The Locker:

📅 September 14 — NCCP Coach Initiation in Sport

📅 September 15 — NCCP Creating a Positive Sport Environment
📅 September 16 — NCCP Sport Nutrition
📅 September 17 — NCCP Coaching Athletes with a Disability

Whether you’re looking to build your coaching skills, continue your NCCP development, or pick up professional development points, this is a great opportunity to take advantage of free coach education.

National Coaches Week is also a chance to recognize the coaches who make a difference in our sport every day. ❤️

Game Day in the Park was a huge success!

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers who came out to make the day such a fun experience. Your energy and enthusiasm helped introduce so many people to the excitement of cheer!

We even had the chance to teach Ace Burpee some stunts and dance moves, he was a great sport and helped showcase what our amazing community is all about. 💙

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, cheered us on, and helped make the event one to remember. We can’t wait to do it again!

Congratulations to Haylyn, recipient of the 2026 Ruth Hallonquist Sportsmanship Award.

Haylyn embodies what sportsmanship is all about. She leads with kindness, supports her teammates without hesitation, and brings a positive attitude to every practice, performance, and challenge. Whether she’s mentoring younger athletes, helping behind the scenes, or encouraging those around her, she consistently puts her team and community first.

Her leadership is steady, genuine, and selfless, and the impact she has on those around her does not go unnoticed.

We are proud to recognize Haylyn for the incredible example she sets both within cheer and throughout her school community.
