Just a little Mogwai update! 💚

He’s still doing great in foster care and keeping everyone smiling. His foster crocheted him this hat, and we just couldn’t resist sharing it. 🧶🦎

He’s doing well, getting lots of love, and looking pretty handsome in his new hat.

Thanks for following along on Mogwai’s journey. We love being able to share these little updates!

** Foster found!!

We are looking for a foster placement for Rosie, a 2-year-old Lab/Pitbull mix whose guardian is entering treatment until August 15.
Rosie is a very affectionate and sensitive dog who bonds closely with her people. She does well with adults and older children, and she finds comfort in snuggles, gentle chest rubs, soft voices, and a consistent routine. She is food motivated outside of high-stress moments and has been making progress with e-collar training (provided by owner).

Rosie does have anxiety, separation anxiety, and reactivity toward other animals. She has a high prey drive toward small animals and is reactive around young children. Rosie very much wants attention from her people and does not do well sharing space or attention with other animals, large or small.

Because of this, Rosie needs to be the only pet in the home. We are looking for a calm, structured placement with no dogs, no cats, no small animals, and no young children.

A secure fenced yard would be a strong asset for Rosie’s placement, as she can be reactive on leash and around other animals. Having a safe outdoor space would allow her to decompress, take bathroom breaks, and get some movement without every outing needing to involve leash exposure.

RTS will provide a muzzle for Rosie to use on leash walks as a preventative safety measure. This is intended to support safe, lower-stress outings while her foster gets to know her triggers, comfort level, and walking routine.

She is most comfortable sleeping in the same room as her caregiver. She benefits from daily exercise, including sniff walks and more active outlets like fetch.

Rosie would be a good fit for someone who has experience with anxious or reactive dogs and can offer clear boundaries, patience, routine, and a calm environment. She has no listed medical concerns or medications.

Please let us know if you would be open to reviewing Rosie as a potential foster fit.

🐾 Foster Homes Needed for Bonded Cats 🐾

We’ve been receiving a lot of inquiries lately from individuals entering treatment who need temporary care for their cats. Many of these cats are bonded and need to stay together while their owners focus on their recovery.

Because bonded pairs can be harder to place, we’re looking to build a list of foster homes that would be open to taking in two cats when the need arises.

By fostering, you’re not only helping cats stay safe and together, you’re helping remove a barrier that might otherwise prevent someone from accessing treatment.

If you’d like to learn more about fostering bonded cats, send us a message. We’d love to connect with you! 💚

Please enjoy the photo below of Pretty and Nugget, two bonded brothers currently being supported through Recovery Tails Society!

🐾 Foster Home Needed for Roman 🐾

Meet Roman, a handsome 2-year-old mixed breed looking for a temporary foster home while his owner focuses on their recovery journey.

Roman is a unique mix of Labrador Retriever, Cane Corso, Greyhound, and Catahoula Leopard Dog. He is neutered, vaccinated, crate trained, and full of personality.

About Roman:
• High-energy and loves running, playing, and outdoor adventures
• Equally enjoys relaxing and cuddling at home after exercise
• Friendly with other dogs
• Crate trained
• Affectionate and loyal once he settles in

Things to know:
• Can be territorial indoors at times
• Guards food and balls, so management is important
• Barks at children and would do best in an adult-only home
• Barks when people walk by the home
• Experiences leash reactivity and would benefit from a confident handler
• Does not do well in apartment buildings and would be best suited to a detached home with a secure yard

Roman would thrive with an experienced dog owner who understands large breeds and is comfortable providing structure, exercise, and consistency.

If you’re interested in providing a safe and loving foster home for Roman, please reach out to learn more. Every foster placement helps remove barriers to treatment and supports both people and their beloved pets.💚

🐾 Foster Homes Needed 🐾

Recovery Tails is looking for caring foster homes for animals while their owners attend treatment and focus on recovery.

We support a variety of animals and are always looking to grow our foster community. Right now, we have inquiries for cats, dogs, and guinea pigs looking for temporary placement. 🐶🐱🐹

For many people, concerns about pet care can be a barrier to accessing treatment. Foster homes help provide peace of mind, allowing owners to focus on their healing while knowing their animals are safe and cared for.

If you have space in your home and are interested in learning more about fostering, we would love to connect.

Moo update 🐾🤍

Moo continues to settle in so well with her foster family. She’s become more confident, playful, and affectionate over the past little while, and her personality really keeps shining through.

She loves cuddles, window watching, following her foster family around the house, and being involved in absolutely everything 🐈‍⬛✨

We also learned that getting photos of Moo is nearly impossible because she refuses to stay still long enough for a proper picture 😂

It’s been so sweet watching her grow more comfortable and feel safe in her temporary home while her owner focuses on recovery. Huge thank you to her foster family for all the love and care they continue to give her 🤍

Meet Odie 🐾

Odie is an 8-year-old medium-sized sweetheart currently in our care and looking for a foster home to land in while his owner focuses on healing. He’s the kind of dog that makes people fall in love fast.

Odie:
• Loves dog parks
• Gets along well with other animals
• Is happiest when he’s outside exploring
• Could play fetch for hours
• Would thrive with someone who enjoys hiking, walks, or has a great yard for him to run around in

He still has lots of energy and so much love to give. We would love to find him a foster home where he can stay active, get lots of attention, and continue being the happy, playful dog he is.

If you’ve been thinking about fostering, Odie could be the perfect fit. Fostering helps keep pets safe and cared for while their owners access treatment, medical care, or other supports.

If you’re interested in fostering Odie or want more information, please send us a message! 🐶✨

Pretty & Nugget update 🐾💛

These bonded brothers continue to settle in beautifully with their foster family. Their days have been filled with cozy naps, sunny window watching, playful moments, and lots of love.

It’s been so heartwarming to see them relax, feel safe, and stay together during this chapter while their human focuses on recovery.

Thank you to everyone who supports our mission and helps make stories like this possible. Keeping pets cared for means helping people access healing without having to choose between treatment and their best friend.

More adventures from Pretty & Nugget to come 🐱✨
