Still a few tweaks needed but this is what we have in mind for this year's Pacific Grand Prix! Fun guaranteed. We are going to run a Club Open category where all riders racing these events will have a 90" gear limit (elite riders are welcome to partake on the Friday Friendly Sprint Tourney 😉), and we've added a new event which is unique to our 333m track: the Devil's Kilo 😈 yup, 666m TT, WHY THE H3LL NOT!? ChatGPT (and our volunteer staff) are working on registration and tech guide for . But mark your calendars, find a pet sitter for those dates, and we'll see you on June 12-14 for a whole lot of fun with some bike racing thrown in 🏁

GVVA x race night #1 is coming soon. New to track racing or need a refresher? Come to the new riders orientation at 5pm. Don't have a track bike? We got you covered, and we're going to limit all gearing (to UNDER 93") to keep it fair, just remember to bring your pedals. Racing at 630pm: scratch race, elimination (results will be used for keirin seeding), and keirin! See you on Wednesday 🏁

It's almost time to start our club racing series this season! Here's the schedule I've planned for this year:

May 13th: 100m TT, 2-3up sprints (2 rounds), derny race

May 27th (VCL):  Scratch, elimination (qualification for Keirin heats), Keirin

June 10th: 500m TT, win-and-out, elimination-to-Keirin

June 24th (VCL): Scratch, chariot (heats based on scratch results), points

July 1st: 200m TT, 2-3up sprints (2 rounds), Colwood crawl

July 15th (VCL): Scratch, elimination (qualification for Keirin heats), Keirin

July 29th: Scratch, Belgian win-and-out, snowball

August 12th (VCL): Scratch, Belgian win-and-out, Keirin

August 26th: Scratch, reverse snowball, derny-paced scratch

Track opens for warm up 6-6:25pm, racing begins 630pm. 

^ VCL gear restrictions: under 93” unless the field has no one using a rental bike; A/B/C category, D riders will race Flying 200m TT, 1L TT, and a wheel race. New rider orientation: 5pm-5:45pm.

Bring your helmet, bring a friend (or many friends) and come to our Open House on April 18th (Saturday) from 10am-3pm! Come try track cycling, we'll have our rental fleet and instructor to guide you! If you're a road racer (licensed Cat 3 or higher) who wants to experience motorpacing at the velodrome, join us from 9-10am for some speed work. See you then!
