🎉 Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the Victoria Foundation's 90th Anniversary!

It was inspiring to see so many community members, partners, donors, friends and family come together to mark this milestone. From the inspiring keynote, lively entertainment and heartfelt tributes to the thoughtful reflections shared by our CEO, Ian Bird, and retiring CEO, Sandra Richardson, the afternoon was filled with connection, celebration and optimism for the future.

🧡 September 30 is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Today we honour the children who never came home from residential schools across the country. We also honour Survivors, their families and communities who continue to carry the weight of intergenerational trauma caused by these institutions.

Reconciliation asks each of us to listen, learn and take meaningful action. The Victoria Foundation board and staff remain committed to this ongoing journey and to helping build relationships grounded in truth, understanding and respect.

🧡 September 30th marks National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The annual South Island Powwow hosted by the Songhees Nation, is an opportunity to recognize Survivors and their families in the spirit of reconciliation. Through song and dance, traditional Indigenous cultures and resiliency will be celebrated.

The Neighbourhood Small Grants program supports local residents with funding to turn community ideas into reality. Past projects have included multicultural events, community gardens, block parties and skill-sharing workshops.
