Fort York Food Bank

10/04/2026

1,901 neighbors fed in a single day. A record for our food bank, and proof of what community can do. That was yesterday, and while we are grateful that we were there and able to serve, it’s a milestone that we would rather not reach again, because it shows how many families need extra support right now. Whatever the need looks like, we’ll be here. Thank you for showing up, and we’ll keep showing up for you.

Last week CLEAResult’s Market Outreach Team visited the food bank to educate about Save on Energy’s Energy Affordability Program and Enbridge’s Home Winterproofing Program. The programs are designed to support income-eligible Ontario residents to reduce their energy bills and increase their home comfort.

They partner with food banks and community organizations across the province to support clients with these programs. Last week they handed out 70 free Energy Saving Kits to our community. The kits included 5 LED lightbulbs, a clothesline, and a nightlight.

Thank you CLEAResult !

Thank you Rotary Club of Parkdale-High Park-Humber, we appreciate all that you do!

On the first Sunday morning of each month, our club joins friends and volunteers to cook and serve a hot meal for members of the community at the Fort York Food Bank. If you’re interested in helping, we would love to have you join us - reach out at - [email protected]

This week we provided a space on site for our community members to learn about employment and health services.

In the words of Devi, our co-founder: “Feel very happy that FYFB is returning to our roots - reconnecting residents to essential supports such as health, employment and training.

Collaborating with community partners such as Access Alliance and Access Employment Services is one of our core strengths”

Thank you Sayan for setting this up!
