Today, on National Indigenous Peoples Day, we celebrate the rich cultures and traditions of Indigenous communities across Canada.

At Campfire Circle, we recognize that learning is an ongoing journey. We are committed to listening, educating ourselves, and deepening our understanding of Indigenous histories and perspectives. We strive to create spaces where children and families feel a true sense of belonging.

Today is World Day.

We were honoured to mark the day in Ottawa, in collaboration with the Sickle Cell Disease Association of Canada and the Interdisciplinary Centre for Black Health at the event hosted by the Senate of Canada.

At Campfire Circle, we are proud to create spaces where kids with sickle cell disease can connect with others who understand their journey, build confidence, and experience the joy and belonging that camp provides.

Today is a reminder of the importance of understanding and support for the sickle cell community. Together, we can help ensure more kids and families have access to the programs, connections, and experiences they deserve.

What an incredible day at our very first Kitchener Panthers baseball game! ⚾

We welcomed new families for an afternoon of fun, connection, and creativity, and our campers went all out with making awesome bling for their braids.

We're so excited to host more community programs and create more moments together!

Last month, our leadership campers completed a First Aid and CPR course, gaining practical, life-saving skills that will serve them in the future. Designed for teens ages 15 to 18, the program helps campers build confidence, leadership skills, and valuable experience.

We were thrilled to welcome 18 incredible teens as they learned essential new skills, from performing adult and child CPR to creating slings and responding confidently in emergency first aid situations.

A huge thank you to Toronto First Aid for leading this vital course on a Saturday afternoon. Your support helps us build a safer, more prepared community!

Our Rainbow Lake Community Day was a huge success!

We spent the day preparing Family Camp for the season ahead – painting, building furniture, and getting camp ready to welcome families.

Alongside the hard work in the morning, the afternoon was filled with plenty of dancing, meaningful stories, and opportunities for the Waterford community to experience a glimpse of what a day at camp can look like.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, rolled up their sleeves, and helped bring camp to life. We can’t wait to welcome campers back and show you Rainbow Lake in action very soon!

Today is !

It's a perfect occasion to appreciate these incredible creatures and their rich history. Did you know a dragonfly symbolizes transformation? We like to think of camp as a place of transformation, too! Imagine our delight when one landed on a hat at the Muskoka camp!

Have you encountered a dragonfly or another fascinating animal at camp? Share your pictures with us in the comments. We’d love to see them!
