Fast fashion has a major environmental impact, contributing to textile waste, pollution, and overconsumption worldwide.

Environmental justice is about understanding how our choices affect people, communities, and the future of our planet.

Small changes can make a difference: thrift, repair, swap, and shop intentionally.

Today, on Red Dress Day, we honour Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People.

Remembrance must be matched with action for meaningful justice.

At Level Justice, we believe that reconciliation must be reflected in everyday legal practice.

We’re proud to share a recent article by our Senior Program Manager, Desneige Frandsen, published with Law360 Canada. The article explores how cultural humility and empathy can strengthen advocacy and client relationships across the justice system.

For those looking to deepen this work in practice, Level offers Cultural Humility and Empathy Training (CHET), designed to support legal professionals in building these skills in a meaningful and applied way. Contact [email protected] to learn more.

Thank you to Law360 Canada for ensuring this article is free and accessible.

Today is Law and Equality Day.

Justice starts long before the courtroom. It starts when young people understand the law and know their rights. It grows when law students can find pathways into justice work. It becomes more fair and responsive when legal professionals lead with empathy and insight.

Your monthly gift helps make that possible.

Thank you to Scott Petrie Llp Law Firm and supporters who helped make Pathways to Justice: Indigenous Futures in Law possible.

On February 26, more than 80 Indigenous youth gathered at the London Courthouse to connect with legal professionals, explore pathways into law, and see themselves reflected in the justice system. From mentorship to meaningful conversation, the day was grounded in learning, representation, and community.

We are grateful to everyone who contributed their time, knowledge, and support to make this experience possible.

We look forward to recognizing our partners throughout the coming days.

Strengthening relationships. Advancing Indigenous youth legal education.

Level Justice is grateful to the Peter Gilgan Foundation for its support of the Indigenous Youth Outreach Program, which provides culturally grounded legal education to Indigenous youth aged 9 to 18 across Canada.

This investment will deepen relationships with Indigenous advisors, Elders, educators, and community partners, helping ensure programming remains locally rooted, culturally safe, and responsive to community priorities.
