The Days of Awe begin with us tonight.
May the next ten days be days of reflection, introspection, and peace.
May we prepare ourselves for the changes in the year to come.
May it be a good year.
May it be a healthy year.
May it be a year of peace for all of us, all around the globe.
May it be a year of peace within ourselves.
May we live our lives with integrity, service, and love.
May we be blessed with the strength of this community, of our families, of our friends.
May we remember what is truly important in life and may we remember to be grateful every day.

The Canadian Unitarian Council (CUC) is currently hiring for our Congregational Life (CL) Staff position — a full-time, two-year contract role, with the option to extend or become permanent.

If you haven't heard about tonight's Dismantling Barriers session, this is your invitation.

Tonight at 7 pm ET, Camellia Jahanshahi leads a conversation on governance that we think is especially relevant for congregational leaders right now.

Here's why it matters:

Governance isn't just procedure, it's the architecture of how we relate to each other. The structures our communities operate within shape who gets to participate, how decisions get made, and whether our actions actually reflect our values. Tonight we'll look honestly at different governance models, their tradeoffs, and how structure can either create barriers or dismantle them.

As a congregational leader, you live these questions every day. This session offers language, frameworks, and honest conversation to help you navigate them with more intention.

Come hear the innovations, the honest lessons, and the stories of what became possible when people truly invested in each other. The intergenerational relationships forged during RAMP! are a living expression of the enduring values shaping our communities — and this public session is your invitation to witness and celebrate them in real time.
You don't need to have been part of RAMP! to attend. You just need to care about where this faith is going — and be open to finding some hope and inspiration in the answer.

The Government of Canada's New Horizons for Seniors Program offers up to $50,000 for community projects designed by seniors for seniors.
The CUC is hosting a free support session on June 21 to help you explore this grant, develop an idea with your elders, and get support through the application process.
