This Thanksgiving, Michael is grateful for more than a warm meal. At Scott Mission, he found a seat at the table, community, prayer, and a place to belong.

"It makes me feel like I got a new family here."

🍂 There's always room for one more — thank you for helping neighbours like Michael experience hope this season.

After losing their home in a fire, Alexis and Austin struggled to provide for their family of seven. Scott Mission's food bank welcomed them with practical support, hope, and a place at a table where everyone belongs. ❤️

🍂 Together, we're making room for one more — helping families face difficult seasons with dignity and care.

Happy National Seniors Day!

In Toronto, more than 1 in 10 people rely on food banks to make ends meet— and 10% of them are seniors. As living costs continue to rise, seniors like Youqin rely on Scott Mission for food, essentials, friendship, and a seat at a table where everyone belongs.

"I'm so grateful for everyone who helps us."

🍂 Today, we celebrate seniors like Youqin and the caring community that makes room for one more — thank you for helping our senior neighbours feel supported and connected.

To mark their 5th anniversary, the Mydoh team spent the day volunteering with Scott Mission. Thank you for choosing to celebrate this milestone through service, generosity, and a shared commitment to supporting families in our community. 💙 Inspired to make a difference? A new school year starts with small steps that make a big difference. 👟📚

Through Scott Mission's Back-to-School Shoe Campaign, and thanks to the generosity of our community, the support of Emille Shoes Ltd., and gift cards provided by SVP Sports, families are receiving practical support as they prepare for the school year ahead. New shoes and assistance with purchasing essential back-to-school items are helping students start the year ready to learn, grow, and thrive.

If you'd like to be part of this impact, please consider supporting the campaign: https://donate.scottmission.com/page/191513/donate/1 💙

What a summer. ☀️ From cannonballs in the pool and campfire songs to new friendships and unforgettable adventures, Scott Mission Camp was filled with moments that will stay with us long after the season ends.

Thank you to every camper, volunteer, donor, and staff member who made this summer possible. We're already looking forward to next year.

A thriving garden can do so much more than grow food. It can grow confidence, relationships, and a sense of belonging. 🌱

We're deeply thankful to the donors and supporters who helped breathe new life into our community garden. Your generosity is creating opportunities for connection and helping our community bloom. 💚

Moments like our O'Connor Community BBQ remind us that connection is built around shared meals, conversations, and time spent together. These gatherings create space for neighbours to meet, friendships to grow, and community to flourish. ❤️

An evening of music, connection, and encouragement.

Thanks to complimentary tickets generously donated by members of our community, residents from our Recovery Program recently attended a symphony performance in Toronto. Experiences like these create opportunities for meaningful conversations, shared memories, and a sense of belonging beyond the everyday.

“Beyond enjoying beautiful music, I had the privilege of listening to their stories and spending quality time together. Moments like these remind me that recovery is built not only through structured programs but also through genuine relationships and shared experiences.” — Agustin Aguirre, Recovery Program Coordinator

Thank you to everyone who partners with us to create moments like these.
