Childhood Cancer Canada Childhood Cancer Canada is the country's leading Foundation dedicated entirely to the fight against childhood cancer. Childhood cancer is unique.

Childhood Cancer Canada (CCC) is the leading national charitable organization dedicated to supporting children with cancer and their families, while advancing vital research and collaborating with partners nationwide. We achieve our goal of improving the lives of children with cancer and their families through our vital support programs and investment in collaborative cancer research. It is not ju

st a smaller part of the adult world of cancer. The biology, treatment & effects of treatment are unique to children. We deliver critical education, community, and connectivity programs to children with cancer and their families. Through our unique partnership with all of Canada's 17 childhood cancer hospitals and treatment centres, we can ensure that children with cancer are exposed to kinder and gentler treatments that will not only cure them but leave them with an improved quality of life into adulthood.

Imagine your child is tested daily. And now your marriage is too.

Childhood cancer doesn't just take a physical, emotional, and mental toll on the child, it impacts the entire family.

Emotionally.
Socially.
Financially.

With the proper financial, emotional, and systemic supports in place, families can focus on what matters most: their child's health and well-being. And that of their entire family.

When we focus on the unimaginable together, better outcomes are possible.

"Trust your instincts, don't stop advocating for your child, and hold on to hope, even when the odds feel impossibly small." Nolan's Mom, Courtney

Today, Nolan is in remission, and this month marks two years since that incredible milestone. It is a second chance his family does not take for granted — a reminder of everything they have endured and overcome together.

When asked what advice they would give to other families facing childhood cancer, Nolan’s parents shared a message rooted in perseverance, advocacy, and hope.

And for the children still fighting cancer, they want them to know this: you are braver and stronger than you realize. Even on the hardest days, you are overcoming something extraordinary — and that makes you a superhero.

Thank you for following Nolan’s journey this month and helping us shine a light on the realities families face beyond diagnosis. 💛

Brain tumours remain the leading cause of cancer-related death among children in Canada — yet pediatric brain cancer research continues to face significant funding gaps. In Canada, only 7% of federal investment in cancer research is designated to pediatric cancers.

Addressing these challenges requires sustained investment in pediatric-specific research and national collaboration.
