🇧🇷 🇨🇦 We are delighted to announce the re-appointment of Inês Gomes, MBA, as Co-Chair of the Ottawa Chapter of the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (BCCC).

A long-standing member of the BCCC community and founding Co-Chair of the Ottawa Chapter, Inês brings more than a decade of leadership experience spanning international trade and investment, economic development, government relations, innovation, and strategic partnerships across Canada and internationally.

Throughout her career, Inês has worked at the intersection of government, business, academia, and innovation, building partnerships and advancing economic opportunities across jurisdictions. Her experience includes senior roles with the Government of Ontario, where she most recently led stakeholder and partnership engagement in Ottawa, as well as leadership roles with Invest Ottawa, advancing international investment and market development initiatives across Europe and Brazil.

Earlier in her career, Inês served as Senior Economic Officer for the Government of Ontario in São Paulo, supporting Ontario's trade and investment interests in Brazil, and held roles with the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) focused on policy and international relations.

As founding Co-Chair of the BCCC Ottawa Chapter, Inês helped establish the Chamber's presence in the National Capital Region and build its network across government, business, and institutional partners.

Her return comes at an exciting time for the BCCC. With our upcoming Women in Business Mission to Brazil in November, December programming in Ottawa, and a growing calendar of initiatives across Canada and Brazil, we look forward to expanding our reach and creating new opportunities for companies, entrepreneurs, institutions, and government partners to connect and collaborate.

Inês will serve alongside Andrea Gardella, Resident Chief Economist and Co-Chair of the BCCC Ottawa Chapter, bringing complementary experience and networks to the Chapter's leadership as it enters its next phase of growth.

Canada and Brazil share significant opportunities across trade, investment, innovation, technology, and research collaboration. Through its Ottawa Chapter, the BCCC will continue helping organizations build the relationships and partnerships that turn this potential into opportunities in both countries.

👏 Welcome back, Inês! We are thrilled to have you return to co-lead the Ottawa Chapter alongside Andrea and help shape its next phase of growth.
