On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we recognize the work of Indigenous physicians and physician leaders advancing culturally safe care, health equity and reconciliation across Ontario.

Dr. Ryan Giroux, Dr. Jamaica Cass and Dr. Kona Williams each bring a distinct perspective to this work, from building trust with Indigenous children and families, to advancing systemic change, to strengthening Indigenous representation in medicine.

Their stories are a reminder that reconciliation in health care is ongoing work built through listening, trust, action and leadership.
