Shavuot Shabbat on May 23 includes Torah study with Rabbi Crawley at 9:30 a.m., followed by a service featuring the Shira Harmony Group, Yizkor and Tot Shabbat. Join us for a Kiddush luncheon afterward!

Ideas & Ideals, the salon-style discussion series is back! Mark your calendars for Thurs., June 18 and prepare to be dazzled. Rabbi Crawley will be in conversation with Bob Rae, discussing what it means for a synagogue or community institution to be a good citizen. Adult Torah Cantillation Class with Hazzanit Tara Abrams - Summer 2026

Have you ever wanted to learn how to chant from the Torah?
Did you once know how to chant, but would like to brush up on your skills?
Join Hazzanit Tara Abrams for an Adult Torah Cantillation Class this summer!

Who: Open to City Shul Members AND others in the community (tell your friends!)
Cost: Free to City Shul Members; the Non-member rate is $280.
When: 6 x 1½ hours classes, exact dates TBD by the participants
LocationL Her home in the Upper Beaches (Main & Gerrard), accessible by GO, TTC, and car

Required:
1. Siddur level Hebrew reading/decoding ability (consonants and vowels)
2. Possession of "The Art of Cantillation" (Approx $45) prior to the first class.

3. The commitment to do some weekly follow-up work at home.
4. A desire to have fun!

Shabbat Shavuot Service - Saturday, May 23
St. George's Grange Park - 30 Stephanie Street

We are excited to welcome the entire City Shul community for a Shabbat Shavuot Service, including Yizkor. Festive kiddish following services with activities for the whole family.
- Torah Study Class with Rabbi Crawley - “10 Commandments” - 930 to 10 AM
- Shabbat Service, including our Shira Harmony Group - begins at 10 AM
- Tot Shabbat - 11 AM to 12 Noon
- Kiddish and Fun - Following services - till 2:30 PM

All are welcome - Registration is not required.
