We’re excited to announce VIVA's new SATB Youth Choir, conducted by Michael Denomme and Edmee Nataprawira!

This unique choral program is designed specifically for teens to bridge the gap between treble children’s choirs and adult SATB ensembles. Michael and Edmee bring fresh repertoire, high-level instruction, and a deep commitment to supporting young singers through every stage of vocal development. Whether singers are navigating a changing voice or looking to try advanced repertoire, VIVA's SATB Youth Choir is designed to help them grow with confidence in a supportive and welcoming environment.

This isn’t just another rehearsal - it’s a space for passionate young musicians to challenge themselves artistically, build leadership skills, connect with peers from across the city, and experience choral music at a high level 🎶

📍 Trinity-St. Paul’s Centre, Bloor & Spadina
🗓️ Sundays 2:30 - 4:30pm, beginning in September

To celebrate the close of our 2025/26 season, our Inclusion Team hosted a party for all our choristers! 🥳 With sing-alongs, crafts, VIVA-themed games, and mingling between all our choirs, it was a wonderful way to celebrate an incredible season of music and community 🥰

We were so proud to premiere our Composition Competition winning piece, “Every Voice Matters” by Michael Colvin, at our concert “Draw the Circle Wide” 🎉

At our dress rehearsal, we presented Michael with a framed copy of his score signed by our EVM Chorus and Chamber Singers, who jointly performed “Every Voice Matters” at the concert 🎶

Thank you, Michael, for your wonderful piece inspired by VIVA, and for joining us in creating modular, accessible works for singers of all abilities 💚
