Help Us Help

This Thanksgiving, we are especially grateful for you — our Help Us Help community.✨

For over three decades, your generosity and commitment have helped us deliver essential programs and aid to institutionalized children, scholars, veterans, and vulnerable families across Ukraine.

As we gather with loved ones, we are reminded of the importance of coming together and extending support to those who need it most — especially the children of Ukraine who continue to face the devastating realities of war.

Thank you for your continued trust, compassion, and commitment to standing with Ukraine.

From all of us at Help Us Help, we wish you and your loved ones a peaceful and joyful Thanksgiving filled with warmth and gratitude.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Help Us Help! 🍂

September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day to honour the children who never returned home, Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities.

It is a time to remember the painful history and lasting impacts of the residential school system, while recognizing that reconciliation is an ongoing responsibility for all of us.

Today, we take time to listen, learn, reflect, and recognize the importance of respecting Indigenous histories, cultures, and lived experiences.

At Help Us Help, we believe every child deserves to grow up feeling safe, valued, and supported — with their identity, culture, and story respected. Every Child Matters.

We remember. We reflect. We learn. We move forward together.

An Evening in Support of Help Us Help Winter Camp 2027

🗓️ Friday, November 20, 2026 · 7:00 p.m.
📍 Donna Child Fine Art Gallery, Etobicoke

It’s that time of year again! 💙💛

Our annual Send a Child to Winter Camp fundraiser is a special evening when the Help Us Help community comes together — friends, volunteers, donors, and supporters — united by a shared commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children in Ukraine.

This year is a special milestone as we celebrate the 20th Help Us Help Winter Camp Program!!!

There are more than 60,000 children currently living in residential institutions across Ukraine. For these children, the realities of war are part of daily life — air raid sirens, frequent trips to bomb shelters, interrupted education, and power outages.

The Help Us Help Winter Camp Experience is a 10-day educational program in a safe, supportive environment where children celebrate Ukrainian Christmas and traditions, learn new skills, build friendships, and enjoy a variety of winter activities.

Help us reach our goal of welcoming 100 children to the Help Us Help Winter Camp 2027 program in the Carpathian Mountains.

❄️ It costs $1,000 to sponsor one child for the full Winter Camp experience.
🎟️ A minimum donation of $250 is encouraged for event attendees.

Join us for delicious food, live music, and a silent auction in support of Ukraine’s future generations!

📩 RSVP: [email protected]

Donations accepted at the door by cash, cheque, credit/debit, or e-Transfer. Tax receipts will be issued in accordance with CRA guidelines, based on the eligible donation amount after deducting the value of goods and services received.

Unable to join us? You can still support Winter Camp 2027 at helpushelp.charity.

Full event details will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Stay tuned!💙💛

Thank you Summer Camp 2026 Volunteers!!!🏕️☀️🚞

Help Us Help would not be here today without our dedicated and caring volunteers. For over thirty years, our volunteers have played a crucial role in providing Ukrainian institutionalized and at-risk children with consistency, care, and connection, ensuring every child feels heard, seen, and empowered.

Throughout our Annual Summer Camp Experience, volunteers serve as stable caregivers and are essential to the campers’ well-being, development and overall experience. For every meal, workshop, adventure, and funny moment, our volunteers are there, supporting us in every way and creating a safe, nurturing environment.

Their dedication, hard work and care made Summer Camp 2026 possible. Whether it’s unpacking boxes of supplies, creating camp signage, assembling care bags, or leading educational workshops, we are incredibly grateful for your contributions, and we would not have done it without you!

The Help Us Help Team deeply appreciates the time, effort, and care you invest in our life-changing programs and mission. Thank you! Merci! Ми щиро вам дякуємо! 💙💛

Our 28th Annual Summer Camp Experience came to an end on August 13, 2026 ⛰️🔊

The final chapter was a bittersweet mix of joy and sadness as we prepared to say goodbye to our wonderful campers, dedicated volunteers, and hardworking team. Tears and laughter filled the air as we celebrated the friendships forged and the adventures shared! 🫶🏼

Over the course of two weeks, our incredible Help Us Help campers showed great spirit and enthusiasm, while our dedicated volunteers ensured that every child felt included and empowered. Behind the scenes, our Canada and Ukraine Teams organized everything with care, and together, we created life-changing experiences for the participants of our Summer Camp program.

As we said our goodbyes, our hearts were full, knowing that although this chapter has ended, the connections, life skills, and friendships will last a lifetime. We made a genuine promise to carry the memories of our summer adventures until we meet again. It is not a goodbye; it is a “see you soon!”
