Mascon Restorations is once again putting the focus on mental health in Kingston.

Their 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐟 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, held Sept. 11 at Loyalist Golf and Country Club, raised $𝟏𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 for the 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 at Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC)—bringing Mascon’s total support for the unit to $𝟐𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬.

Recently, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐋𝐮𝐳 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐚, a cardiologist at Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) was honoured by a generous .

For those who don’t know, Dr. Gargiola is a leading researcher at KHSC exploring how cardiac point-of-care ultrasound ( ) could improve care for adults living with congenital heart disease.

By evaluating the feasibility and reliability of this technology in outpatient cardiology clinics, her research aims to support more efficient clinical decision-making, optimize diagnostic imaging and help inform the future of adult congenital heart disease care across Canada.

A few weeks ago, Dr. Gargiola was one of two grant recipients, receiving $25,000 to support her ongoing research by the group at University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (UHKF).

💛 𝐀 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐚 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞.

In September, sisters 𝐙𝐨𝐞𝐲 and 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐞 turned their love for their 𝐔𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧 into something truly meaningful. With a lemonade and cookie stand decorated with pictures of their beloved uncle, the girls raised an incredible $𝟏,𝟑𝟎𝟎.𝟎𝟎 in his memory. 💛

Donated through University Hospitals Kingston Foundation, their gift will support the 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐎𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 at Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) — the very place where their Uncle John received care for more than two and a half years.

After losing John in July, Zoey and Annie wanted to honour their uncle while helping other patients and families facing cancer. Their thoughtful fundraiser is a beautiful reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a lasting difference.
