💜💜 Honouring Secret Path Week 💜💜

Our school community came together to honour Secret Path Week through learning, reflection, and action.

Students created a path of purple footprints along the side of our school building, featuring quotes from Secret Path and students’ own reflections on what home means to them. This meaningful display encouraged us to reflect on the importance of home, belonging, family, and feeling safe and connected to our community.

Our Student Action Club also sold purple bracelets for $2, with all proceeds being donated to the Downie & Wenjack Fund. As a Legacy School, we are proud to support their work in advancing reconciliation through education and awareness.

A big thank you to our students and staff for helping bring this important learning to life and reminding us of the power of listening, understanding, and taking action. 💜

Peace Day at KTS! 🕊️

Today, our students came together for a Peace Walk to Skeleton Park in recognition of the International Day of Peace. Students proudly wore pinwheels they had made themselves as we walked together through the community.

Along the way, we spotted a few cranes along the pathway. A fitting symbol of peace and hope for the day. Coincidence? We’ll let you decide!

Once at the park, our choir performed three songs, and students shared poems about peace and what it means to them. We were also joined by District Councilor Gregory Ridge, who spoke with our students about the importance of peace in our community and beyond.

A meaningful day of reflection, creativity, and coming together as a school community.

Yesterday, our KTS students got moving for our annual Terry Fox Run, coming together to celebrate Terry’s inspiring legacy and support the fight against cancer.

It was wonderful to see our students getting involved, cheering each other on, and doing their part to make a difference. Every step and every donation helps support important cancer research.

🎓✨ Congratulations to our Grade 8, Kindergarten, and Montessori graduates who were celebrated today! ✨🎓

Today we recognized an important milestone in the journeys of these incredible students. From our Montessori learners taking their next big steps, to our Kindergarten graduates preparing for new adventures, and our Grade 8 students getting ready for high school, we couldn't be prouder of all they have accomplished. 💙

Their growth, curiosity, perseverance, and achievements have helped shape our KTS community, and we are excited to see what the future holds for each of them.
