Meet Our Fourth Speaker!
We’re excited to introduce Emily O’Brien, a speaker at the Queen’s Correctional Service Volunteers 2026 Conference.
Emily is the founder and CEO of Comeback Snacks, a Canadian popcorn company she launched after developing the idea while incarcerated. Inspired by creativity, resilience, and second chances, Emily now creates employment opportunities for people with criminal records and is a powerful advocate for reintegration and social change.

Meet Our Third Speaker!

We’re excited to introduce Dr. Zoë Selhi, a speaker at the Queen’s Correctional Service Volunteers 2026 Conference.

Dr. Selhi is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Forensic & Correctional Psychiatry at Queen’s University and an inpatient forensic psychiatrist at Providence Care Hospital in Kingston. Her work focuses on criminal evaluations, the NCR population, and the High Risk Accused (HRA) designation in Canada, with additional experience working in correctional settings in the United States.

Meet Our Second Speaker

We’re excited to introduce Rob Clark, a speaker at the Queen’s Correctional Service Volunteers 2026 Conference.

Rob is the author of Down Inside and spent his career working in seven different prisons across Ontario, including Joyceville Institution, the Kingston Regional Treatment Centre, and Kingston Penitentiary. Drawing on decades of frontline experience, he challenges “tough on crime” narratives and advocates for humane treatment, rehabilitation, and an end to the use of solitary confinement.

Meet One of Our Speakers!
We’re excited to introduce Raquelle Martinez, a speaker at the Queen’s Correctional Service Volunteers 2026 Conference.
Raquelle is a first-year master’s student in Psychological Science at Toronto Metropolitan University and a recent Queen’s University graduate. Her research in the Psychology, Law, and Justice Lab focuses on wrongful convictions, with particular attention to how invoking the right to silence influences blame attributions.
