🎻 JUNO-nominated baroque band to perform in Blue Rocks!

Musique Royale welcomes the JUNO-nominated Les Barocudas to beautiful St. Barnabas Anglican Church for Basta parlare (“Enough said!”). Led by the lauded Montreal-based baroque violinist Marie Nadeau-Tremblay, we enter into her imaginative recreation of the amazing music of 17th-century Italy.

At a time when instrumental music was stepping into the spotlight, composers pushed the limits of expression, and took the baroque violin, recorder and continuo instruments to new heights of virtuosity. Basta parlare celebrates music that needs no words — where the instruments themselves sing.

Featuring:
Marie Nadeau-Tremblay — Baroque violin
Vincent Lauzer — recorder
Tristan Best — viola da gamba
Christophe Gauthier — harpsichord
