It’s finally that time.

Your P.Eng. certification arrives in the mail.

You open it, take a photo, and think about sharing it online.

It’s a natural way to mark years of work paying off. But before it goes up, it’s worth taking a closer look at what the image shows. A visible registration number and personal details can be copied and used to misrepresent someone as a licensed engineer.

Engineers Nova Scotia is accepting Council nominations from the Membership at Large for the 2026–2027 Council Elections.

Eligible candidates may be nominated for the positions of President, Vice-President, or Member of Council. Nominations must be supported by 10 members of the Association, include the required form and written consent from the nominee, and be submitted by July 10, 2026, at 3:00 PM.

Applications are now open from June 1 to August 30 for the Scholarship for Children of Engineers Nova Scotia Registrants.

Eligible students entering their first year of a Diploma of Engineering program at an accredited institution in Nova Scotia may apply for one of several scholarships valued at $500 each.

Do you know an engineer who has demonstrated outstanding and sustained service to the engineering profession?

Nominate them for the Service Award by Sunday, May 31. This award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions through service to the engineering profession across the province. It also honours those whose leadership, commitment, and volunteer efforts have helped strengthen the communities and support the growth of the profession.

If someone comes to mind whose service deserves recognition, put their name forward to ensure their contributions are seen, acknowledged, and celebrated.
