Our team had a busy weekend training on land and water.

Saturday included a mock search scenario involving navigation exercises, mule use, clue detection, Project Lifesaver and had a number of members training on team lead responsibilities.

Sunday's chilly fall temperatures didn't keep our boat and kayak team off the water from operational training of both our new search and rescue boat and kayaks while running grid search patterns and honing navigation skills.

We're available 24/7 365 for a search call out to come, training days like these ensure that our skills and knowledge are always ready for that call.

📣 PUBLIC NOTICE 📣

Tomorrow, Saturday October 17th, members of our team will be conducting training along the Blueberry Run Trail from the Park n' Ride off of the William Porter Connector to just past Bellefontaine Road. We will also be present along the sides of Les Collins Ave. and Bellefontaine Rd. where they intersect with Blueberry Run.

Please do not be alarmed, this is purely training, not an active search.

Thank you Nova Scotia Emergency Management, we are incredibly grateful to be a recipient of the Emergency Services Provider Fund. This funding has enabeled our team to obtain critical gear necessary to our GSAR operations along Nova Scotia's Eastern Shore. With your support, our team can better serve the community.

More than $2.75 million will help organizations across Nova Scotia purchase critical equipment and strengthen their ability to respond when communities need them most.
