PLA Alumni came together last week to celebrate our 20th Anniversary Alumni Dinner & Leadership Workshop, marking the conclusion of our 2026 grant-funded programming.
We were fortunate to welcome Stephen Desautels of Sidekick Consultants, who facilitated an engaging discussion on using artificial intelligence as a practical leadership tool. Participants explored the strengths and best uses of today's most popular AI platforms—including ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and Gemini—and learned how each can support communication, organization, creativity, and problem-solving.
The workshop also addressed common myths surrounding AI and emphasized the importance of using these tools safely, ethically, and responsibly. It was an informative evening that equipped our alumni with practical strategies for incorporating AI into their everyday leadership and professional lives.
