Grassroots cyclocross racing is thriving!

We want to recognize and thank the incredible organizers, volunteers and participants who make Midweek Mayhem and Wednesday Night Worlds happen year after year.

Weekly racing is one of the best parts of our cycling community. It is accessible, inclusive, fun, welcoming and, of course, just a little bit competitive!

These events provide opportunities for riders of all ages and abilities to get involved, test themselves, develop their skills and connect with the cycling community.

Thank you to everyone who sets up courses, rings cowbells, volunteers their time, races hard and keeps the spirit of grassroots cyclocross alive.

Here’s to another great season of mud, mayhem and Wednesday night racing!

What an incredible weekend.

Hosting the Cycling Canada Canadian BMX Championships - the crown jewel of BMX racing in Canada - is an incredible honour. Now that the final gate has dropped and we have had a chance to look around and realize what we just pulled off, I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who helped make this Championship one for the history books.

607 rider registrations.

And with those riders came their families, friends, coaches, clubs and supporters from across Canada. Seeing the St Albert Bmx facility absolutely filled with the Canadian BMX community was something I will never forget.

An event of this magnitude takes an enormous amount of work behind the scenes. Registration, staging, track preparation, parking, concession, awards, volunteers, vendors, medical support, track maintenance - and yes, 23 porta-potties! There are hundreds of details that most people will never see, handled by people who simply stepped up and got the job done.
