Edmonton Junior Tennis Society is a community tennis program funded and supported by Tennis Canada, Tennis Alberta and generous sponsors. Congratulations to Ike, our most recent Community Tennis League prize draw winner! 🎊 🎾

“What I love most about the CTL is the community. I’ve had the chance to play tennis with some of the finest people in Edmonton who share my passion for the sport. The league keeps me engaged in a semi-competitive way, exposes me to different styles of play, and has led to connections that extend well beyond the matches.” -Ike

Ike is already registered for Session 7 of the league and is looking forward to many more sessions to come. Beyond playing, he is also excited to give back and contribute to growing tennis in Edmonton as a certified Tennis Instructor.

Join Ike and become part of the Community Tennis League to meet new players, enjoy more match play, and show off your skills on court!

We had an amazing start to our Session 1 program at Dunluce School, along with a Try Tennis event to get new and returning players excited about Fall tennis! 🎾 🍂

It was great to see the players on court learning, playing, and giving tennis a try. We’re excited for the fun session ahead and to keep growing tennis in the Dunluce community!

September is Su***de Prevention Month, and for our ETC community, this conversation is deeply personal.

In 2024, we lost our coach, mentor and friend, Jared MacLean, to su***de. His loss continues to remind us that the people around us may be carrying more than we can see — and that checking in, listening and simply being there for one another matters.

This month, our coaches are helping us share a few messages we hope everyone in our community hears:

You matter.
You are not alone.
It’s okay to ask for help.
And there is always someone willing to listen.

Mental health matters on and off the court. We hope these messages encourage all of us to check in a little more often, listen a little more closely, and continue creating a community where people feel supported and connected.

In memory of those we have lost, in support of those who are struggling, and with hope for those who may need it today.

If you or someone you know needs support, call or text 9-8-8, Canada’s Su***de Crisis Helpline, available 24/7.

What a great way to kick things off at St. Thomas More School! 🎾

Our Level 1 program officially got underway tonight with Coach Hoang, and the court was full of energy right from the start. The group jumped into the first class with lots of movement, skill-building, rallies, and plenty of enthusiasm along the way.

We’re so excited to have this program underway and can’t wait to watch this group continue learning, building confidence, and having fun on court throughout the session!

A great first night, and lots more tennis still to come!

Saville has been off to such a great start this fall! 🍁🎾

The courts are already buzzing with great energy, strong rallies, and lots of learning. We were especially excited to welcome Coach Emma to the team today!

And the excitement is carrying into our next session — Fall Session 2 is almost full! If you’re hoping to join us, make sure to register soon and grab one of the remaining spots.

It’s been such a fun start to Session 1, and we’re excited to keep that momentum going right into Session 2!
