đź‘Ź Congratulations to Leslie Keen of Canmore Skating Club, recipient of the 2026 National Official Award!

This prestigious award recognizes an official who exemplifies Skate Canada’s values of safety, integrity, collaboration, excellence, and innovation while making a lasting contribution to the development of skating in Canada.

This season, Leslie achieved one of the highest honours in our sport when she was selected to officiate at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, serving on both the Rhythm Dance and Free Dance panels. Her selection reflects decades of expertise, dedication, and professionalism at the highest level of international competition.

Beyond her own accomplishments, Leslie is deeply committed to developing the next generation of officials. As one of our Section’s few ISU-level officials, she generously shares her knowledge, mentors aspiring officials, and leads with humility, integrity, and passion.

Thank you, Leslie, for your outstanding service to our sport and for representing Canada with excellence on the world stage. 💙⛸️

In case you missed it, Wildrose registration is now open!

Podium Pathway skaters can now register until June 9th at 12:00pm (noon) MT

Registration for STAR categories opens on June 9th at 12:01pm MT, with a deadline of June 15 at noon MT.

Earlier this month, five Skate AB | NT | NU skaters travelled to Ontario for the 2026 Skate Canada Technical Camp! ⛸️

Uxia Gonzalez-Albraldes, Kate Morden, Umberto Daher, Travis Trang, and Lia Cho had the incredible opportunity to learn from world-renowned facilitators Mie Hamada, Lee Barkell, and Jeff Buttle.

And the exciting news doesn’t stop there — Travis, Lia, and Uxia have also been invited to compete at the Next Gen Competition this July! 👏
