We have a virtual coaching course available on December 20 & 21 2025!

Community coaches have the first contact with almost all athletes who are entering the sport. Coaches are involved in building a safe, positive and solid foundation for athlete experience and skill acquisition in the sport and therefore strengthening our programs in Alberta and by extension in Canada.

The Community coach wants to help new athletes and support age group club athletes by teaching basic triathlon skills and introduction to events. The community coach is focused on safe participation, teaching skills, and fun. This context is designed for coaches of athletes moving from FUNdamentals (youth) to Learn-To-Train and Train-To-Train stages of the Long Term Athlete Development Model.

Sign up for this coaching course right here https://ccnbikes.com/ #!/events/28341-adult-community-coaching-course-virtual-december-20-21-2025 to start your coaching journey!

Our new School Triathlon Programs are designed to capture that same energy and excitement, but with a modern twist. Instead of just sprinting across the school field, students will swim, bike, and run their way through age-appropriate challenges that build confidence, teamwork, and lifelong fitness habits.

Schools can choose from different formats—an aquathlon (swim + run) indoors to start, or when the weather warms up in spring, duathlon and triathlon options outdoors - we even provide the bikes for certain age groups!

Just like the parachute games of the past brought students together, triathlon introduces kids to the joy of movement, the thrill of friendly competition, and the sense of accomplishment that comes from crossing a finish line.

Think of it as Sports Day 2.0—more inclusive, more active, and a whole lot of fun.

We'll be looking to expand this program across Alberta next year!

Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we pause to reflect on the truth of our shared history and the ongoing journey of reconciliation. We are committed to fostering a community that respects Indigenous voices, stories, and contributions within and beyond sport.

We encourage our community to take time today to learn, listen, and reflect.
