One of our clubs is starting up an Indigenous Youth Program!
We are inviting all members of Edmonton's First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities to come and play triathlon with us!
📅 Year-round training to foster a stronger sense of community
✅ Led by members of the Indigenous community who will promote Indigenous culture and teach exercise lessons in a way that makes them culturally relevant.
🏊♀️ Graded swim training program that begins with water safety and progresses to mastering all four strokes.
🚴♀️ Begin with bike handling skills and progress to group rides in the river valley to Indigenous cultural sites and other points of interest.
🏃🏽♀️ A mix of Western and Indigenous games to develop physical literacy and running skills/fitness.
🏆 Prepare kids mentally and physically to participate in the North American Indigenous Games
🤗 Everyone of any ability is welcome; no previous triathlon experience is required.
Time & Locations:
- Run/Bike at Kinsmen Park
Saturday @ 12:00pm
- Swim at Kinsmen Sports Centre
Sunday @ 3:00pm
Wednesday @ 6:00pm
* People can participate in all three sports, or just one.
Registration fees (per month):
- 1 session/week - $30
- 2 sessions/week - $45
- 3 sessions/week - $60

🚨 We are also looking for additional leaders, mentors, and coaches who are interested in helping facilitate this program. There are volunteer and paid positions available.
