EmployAbilities

EmployAbilities Promoting and enhancing employment and/or learning opportunities for persons with disabilities. Please note that EmployAbilities is not a recruitment agency.

EmployAbilities is a community-based charitable non-profit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors. Active in Edmonton, Alberta since 1974, EmpoyAbilities serves people with disabilities and/or barriers to employment living in the Capital region and northern Alberta with a variety of programs and services. We also assist employers in finding staff that are ready, willing, and able

to work - accessing an untapped market to fill their staffing needs. At EmployAbilities, we believe that community and economy are fundamentally intertwined, and that inclusive employment is the best way to build a stronger society and more profitable businesses. We measure success by assisting our clients in finding long-term meaningful employment, and work alongside allied organizations, government partners, and donors to raise awareness of the contributions people with people disabilities make to workplaces. We provide support for people with disabilities and barriers to employment. We provide resources that make them more employable, and help them find a job.

Next month is DEAM (Disability Employment Awareness Month), and we have some events lined up.

Partnering with Voice of Albertans with Disabilities, we invite you to the Accessibility in Action Reverse Job Fair on October 16, 2026.

Instead of employers sitting at booths, job seekers are at the centre of the experience. Participants host their own tables to showcase their skills, experience and career goals while employers rotate through the event.

Plus, there are networking sessions, a community resource fair and more.
Whether you're a job seeker or employer, we invite you to this innovative event!

It's free, but registration is required. You can do that here -->

Celebrate DEAM with a Reverse Job Fair, Resource Fair, and community connections that bring job seekers, employers, and services together.
