Pride Centre of Edmonton PCE is a not-for-profit, community centre advocating for, and supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ Edmontonians There is both youth and senior focused support available.

The Pride Centre of Edmonton provides a non-judgemental, welcoming space where people of all sexual orientations and gender identities and expressions can be themselves and find support and resources. We offer support and resources for members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, their families and friends, and the broader community. We organize programs such as support groups, social events, and educational seminars to help improve the social, mental, and physical health of our community.

The Pride Centre of Edmonton is seeking a community-minded and tech-savvy individual to join our team as a Discord Server Lead.

This role supports the development and maintenance of a safe, inclusive, and affirming online space for 2S/LGBTQI+ youth through the Pride Centre’s Discord Server. The position focuses on online community stewardship, youth engagement, volunteer coordination, moderation, and maintaining ethical, trauma-informed online practices.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Running and moderating the Pride Centre Discord Server
• Onboarding youth, moderators, and volunteers
• Maintaining server functionality, permissions, bots, and safety systems
• Supporting safe, healing-centred online engagement
• Maintaining accurate records and evaluation data
• Monitoring online safety trends, AI risks, and digital harm reduction
• Training and supporting moderators and volunteers

We’re Looking For Someone With:
• Experience working with 2S/LGBTQI+ communities through a decolonial lens
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed and healing-centred engagement
• Experience in Discord server management and moderation
• Strong crisis intervention, de-escalation, and communication skills
• Knowledge of online safety and youth engagement practices
• Technological proficiency and experience with Discord bots

Hybrid position based between remote work and the Pride Centre of Edmonton.

The Pride Centre of Edmonton is seeking a compassionate, community-rooted individual to join our team as a Two-Spirit Focused Wellness Advocate.

This role provides trauma-informed, culturally responsive support to Indigenous and Two-Spirit community members experiencing houselessness, instability, and barriers to accessing services. The position focuses on advocacy, wellness support, harm reduction, and system navigation while fostering connection, dignity, and self-determination within community.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Advocacy & system navigation
• Wellness support & harm reduction
• Resource connection & referrals
• Relationship-building in community
• Supporting access to housing, healthcare, ID, and income supports

We’re Looking For Someone With:
• Experience working with Indigenous and/or 2S/LGBTQI+ communities
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care & Indigenous harm reduction
• Strong advocacy, de-escalation, and relationship-building skills
• A commitment to intersectional justice and community empowerment

Two-Spirit/Indigenous kin will be given preference.

For newcomers:
Edmonton Centre for Newcomers: Offers support for folks who are new to Canada, including settlement services, language support, employment help, and community connection.

The Family Centre (Drop-In Counselling): Provides free, single-session counselling to support mental health and wellbeing. You can access support quickly without a waitlist.

Please join us for the InvestiGayla on April 28th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Pride Centre of Edmonton (10618 105 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5H 0L2)*. At this event, you can expect to:

-Learn more about the Investigaytors program: a collaboration between the Q***r & Trans Health Collective and NorQuest College in which 2S/LGBTQIA+ community members gain tangible research skills.

-Hear about the project completed by this year’s Investigaytors cohort: Exploring the Experiences and Needs of Unhoused 2S/LGBTQIA+ People in Edmonton. This research was carried alongside our community partners the Pride Centre of Edmonton and the CHEW Project.

-Enjoy performances from drag artists Elixir and Celine Dejion.

-Share a meal amongst community (catered by Padmanadi).

-Connect with other 2S/LGBTQIA+ people and organizations.

This event is free to attend. Please ensure that you register using the Eventbrite link (https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/1985735048986?aff=oddtdtcreator). Seating is limited and we must plan for catering appropriately. As such, only those who have registered in advance will be admitted. Please register no later than April 21st.
