To improve the mental wellness of people by Animal Assisted Intervention (AAI) through the human animal bond.

Chimo Animal Assisted Wellness and Learning Society (CAAWLS) promotes and implements Animal Assisted Interventions (AAI) in the Edmonton and area community, and uses AAI as a medium for wellness and education. CAAWLS (Chimo Animal Assisted Wellness and Learning Society) is a registered charity that facilitates animal wellness programs to improve the mental health of the people in our community. Ou

r organization assists in the development, planning and implementation of Animal Assisted Interventions (AAI) in a wide variety of facilities including K-12 schools, post-secondary institutions, senior care facilities, homeless shelters, and other community support agencies just to name a few. We aim to provide education to volunteers, clients and the community on AAI and canine behaviour. OUR VISION

CAAWLS' vision is to be the service provider of choice for Animal Assisted Intervention services in Alberta.
