CW: Sexual violence
The recent report on sexual and gender-based violence at Alberta's post-secondaries revealed some disturbing facts, including around student knowledge of consent.

CAUS is calling for action on this issue, and we look forward to working with Minister to support safer schools for all students. Check out slide 5 to see what our key asks are!

CW: Sexual violence
Today, the Government of Alberta shared the data collected on sexual and gender-based violence at postsecondary institutions. The results of this report are shocking, with 50% of students reporting that they have experienced this violence while attending school.

CAUS calls for immediate action to be taken on this critical issue. Our schools need funding, and support, to create cultures of consent. Our students deserve to attend school with a sense of safety. We want to work with the Minister of Advanved Education to fund and support prevention efforts.

We believe survivors, and we will fight for action to be taken on the crisis of sexual and gender-based violence.
