You may know him best as the no-holds-barred host of TSN’s Off the Record, but MICHAEL LANDSBERG is also one of Canada’s most outspoken mental health advocates. He founded First Step, a powerful and personal mental health program for businesses of all sizes, and , a nonprofit dedicated to eradicating stigma and building community. BILD Alberta was thrilled to attend the announcement of NAIT’s new Advanced Skills Centre — a major investment in Alberta’s future workforce.

The Government of Alberta announced $384 million to build the state-of-the-art facility, which will train 15,000 students annually across 29 trades and technology programs, including an additional 5,500 apprentices each year.

This milestone moves the project from planning to building, with the Advanced Skills Centre anticipated to open in 2030. Investments like this are critical to strengthening Alberta’s skilled trades pipeline and supporting the continued growth of our province’s construction industry.

Congratulations to NAIT and all partners involved in bringing this vision to life!
