The evaluation concludes that the program is a sound investment, with evidence supporting continued and increased investment to improve outcomes for individuals, communities and public systems.

We celebrate Kelly Holland!

After many years of dedication to REACH Edmonton, the nonprofit sector and local community, Kelly is retiring and starting the next chapter of her journey.

Kelly has been an integral part of REACH since its inception and was known to many as the "face of REACH." Over the years, she has connected with people through meaningful outreach, brought the community together for numerous events like Resource Connect, mentored staff and volunteers and created many opportunities for collaboration. Her work has always reflected REACH's vision of creating safer, stronger communities.

Kelly's signature warmth, energy, and compassion have left a lasting mark. As she moves into this exciting new chapter, we want to say: Thank you Holland for all your years of service and contribution to REACH and our community. We wish you a retirement filled with time for the people, places, and passions that bring you joy. It is not farewell—but see you at our next event!

150th Anniversary of Treaty 6 | Treaty Talk with Knowledge Keeper Ron Lameman

In honour of the sesquicentennial anniversary of Treaty 6, join us for a special event featuring Ron Lameman. Ron is a citizen of the Beaver Lake Cree Nation in Treaty 6 and dedicated more than 45 years to advancing Treaty Rights and Indigenous self-determination in Canada and around the world.

He is the former Executive Director of the Confederacy of Treaty Six First Nations and was actively involved in each phase of the development of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. He continues to work closely with elders and leadership of the Confederacy.

REACH Edmonton is proud to partner with Wellness Works Canada to offer the B.R.A.V.E. Conversations Certification workshop. This is a full-day program designed to build the confidence and skills needed to recognize early signs of distress, navigate courageous conversations, and provide mental well-being first aid in the workplace.

Participants will learn how to:
✅ Recognize early signs of distress and psychosocial risk
✅ Engage in courageous, respectful and psychologically safe conversations
✅ Utilize communication and mental first-aid tools
✅Respond with empathy, clarity and confidence
✅ Support others while maintaining healthy boundaries
✅ Help foster a culture of trust, care and early support

How do our unconscious biases shape the way we all interact, make decisions, and work with others?

Join REACH Edmonton, in partnership with the Centre for Race and Culture for a free workshop on understanding and mitigating biases. This session is designed for front-line workers, helping professionals, leaders, and community members committed to building an inclusive and safer Edmonton.

Facilitated by Steven Lin, this workshop will use case studies and interactive exercises to help participants:
✅Understand, define and limit the impact of unconscious bias
✅Recognize how personal and organizational biases influence behaviours and decisions
✅Identify practical strategies to mitigate bias
